I love the w211 I have now, even tho it's the e200cdi with almost 300.000km...but I hope my next car will be the w211 e55 :)) But here in norway they go for $30k - $40k...

I drive a w211 m156 e63 amg, I think keeping the airbags & upgrading the system is better than coilovers.

Nice one mate your younger than my son and picked one off the best Mercedes out there The Daddy that started the power Saloon War with BMW and Audi.. I am coming up to 59 years old this is my 3rd M113K Engine car the last 2 were SL55 AMGs my son is older than you and said to me Dad why do I want a Big Engine car still now being Retired Once a petrolhead always a petrol head ( You look class I will have to put my togs on give it a hint off Peaky blinders E55 AMG style ❤

dont replace headlight glass, just get a restoration they will look brand new. have a PPF installed to protect the headlights

I dream of an E55.. I own E500 from new from 2003 in black and grey. I gotta have an E55.. I had a chance to buy one next a C6 Convertible in 2017 but I chose the Corvette. Next time it will be E55.

The recipe of this car is basically the same as a hellcat , it was before its time! Marvelous. didnt they have a suncell on the roof to charge the 12v batteri because of the heavy electronics?

Very nice e55!! The last year w211 e55 was 2006, but the last w211 AMG was the e63, which then followed in the w212 and so on! Beautiful car by all means!!

Correct! Always loved the sc v8s in the 55s. 63s are cool as well with the NA sound 😍

The last year E55 was 2006 not 07. 07 w211 was the e63.

I have the airmatic suspension on my E55 and I never had issue with it plus I prefer it over coilovers cause when it’s steep ass driveways etc all you gotta do is raise it up lol 😂

I agree air suspension is nicer but I know it’s very common with failure, so i felt like i had too 😂😂

I would rebuild the M113K instead of an M156 swap. The M113K is a superb engine, and I have an Edition 507 with the M156.

@@alextidstromit’s a tune for the gearbox as yours is a later one being 06 has the faster solenoids so tune gives you extra drive mode so gearbox has more quicker aggressive gear changes done by TJ merry well known for his TCU tunes for AMG not that expensive and you get sent a complete TCU and takes minutes to swap out not laptop or coding. Many of E55 owners have this.

@@alextidstromloads just search TJ merry or MK ultra E55 TCU tune one of them has same settings as SLR McLaren he has various tunes for varying levels of speed and there’s plenty of aftermarket upgrades for the box that can make it shift like a dual clutch Alex at legitstreetcars has messed around extensively with his. EVOGT has MK Uktra tune with SLR settings as well and few others.
