Appreciate your time and efforts to put these videos together. It's also nice to average golfers to show their real experience on equipment and simulation setup. For someone new to the garage golf simulation setup, your videos inspire me to put up my own setup. BTW, what Skytrak plan do I need if I am interested in TGC 2019 and do I purchase from the TGC2019 from Skytrak or separately from TGC? Still waiting for backordered Skytrak.

That will allow you to play all sim options you wish except for WGT which is Ipad only anyway. Did you already place your Skytrak order?

A lot of good information on both I always wanted a simulator/launch monitor and now with what is going on out there it gave me the incentive to start. Still waiting on a net impact screen bundle and will decide between the Skytrak or Mevo+ in the garage. More of a lower budget set up for now but got the ok from my wife so ready to start. Sounds like me 1 year ago. Wife approved and started with a net and hitting mat in the garage, 2 months later skytrak, 6 months later impact screen with projector, most recently gaming laptop and e6 connect. Its a slippery slope, but very happy. Its a lot of fun, and I'm playing the best and most consistent golf of my life as I practice or play a round a few times per week. Enjoy.

Thanks Roland. I’ve been subscribed to your channel from the beginning and I appreciate what you do. I have fsx2020 and TGC2019 and I was looking forward to seeing E6 connect because Foresight is about to release it for their LMs. I think it’s fair to say that the E6 Connect graphics are better than FSX2020 but they still don’t compare to TGC. Personally, despite the better TGC graphics I rarely play it because the physics are so poor. Sometimes on TGC I can hit my 9 iron a ridiculous 200 yds and sometimes it will only go an equally ridiculous 75 yds! It’s so frustrating so mostly I just stick with FSX, it’s not as pretty but at least I can have a realistic game. I understand that E6 is going to be very expensive but the graphics I’ve seen so far don’t justify a premium price. Thanks again Roland.

I have the turf below my hitting mat that I got from Par2Pro. I did not have to put velcro or double sided tape to keep my mat in place as it is relatively heavy. I ordered a skytrak (backorder till Mid May), country club elite golf mat (back order), Net Return Pro simulator screen and Optoma Short throw projector. We built a hitting bay that’s 7.5ft wide by 7ft height by 4.5ft depth using PVC pipes and netting. I will look into Par2Pro. Wish I had seen your landing page sooner.

I've been very disappointed with no reads on my skytrak to the extent that I've had it for about a year and a half and have barely used it.. I'm most interested in the light setup you have.. What's most important in your light choice? I'd buy the one you linked but it won't come for almost a month.. Dominic Clouse the most important thing I have found is to make sure the Skytrak is completely level and also that the bottom of the unit is level with the hitting surface...once I got those squared away...my misreads have dropped significantly (probably only a few per full round and that’s usually chips or putts)

I have a hard time getting my SkyTrak to “see” my driver. Can you please show a shot of where you place the tee in relation to the laser (I know you mentioned it before) but I’ve tried a bunch of spots so I’d like to see a shot where I can see the laser dot and the ball/tee. Also I didn’t see a link to burtee

For Driver try placing your tee about 1 to 2 inches in front of the laser (towards the screen or net, not towards you). Make sure your club face is not white as it causes issue with Skytrak as well and make sure your Skytrak is level with your mat but not on the mat itself if at all possible. Hope this helps!

On E6 Connect you can choose to have penalties off or on. I believe the formula is done through E6 Connect versus Skytrak. It does not tell you what the penalty is so I would like to see that but hopefully in the future that will be shown.

Hey Roland, once again another great video! I see you are using true strike mat. I currently have a CCE but my elbow is starting to hurt. True strike or Fiberbuilt? I know you have tried both. Graphics are great. My computer screen is 4k and my projector is 1080p so I had to shrink my computer image down to 1080p as a result so it shows well on my projector. Because I did that my screen capture also captured video with the side bars and compressed the image a bit which is what you are seeing. You can get an example of it though on this video I did on the TruGolf Mini Sim. Again, part of the issues I had was likely due to an older Ipad. Do you think a DIY true strike would be comparable to the real version?

I would say it depends on how you set it up. I have seen some cut into existing mats but would just worry about it moving around over time or getting loose. The appeal with the Truestrike is how they interlock with each other and once they do they don't move at all.

WGT is nowhere close to E6 Connect in terms of quality. I would also suggest you take a look at GSPRO for Skytrak as an option as well. If you have or can get a gaming computer it will blow your mind how much better it is.

I have had my SkyTrak for about 5 months. I run it on an IPAD. I had the E6 demo and enjoyed the 1 course on it. The delay is longer on the E6 than just on the SkyTrak for some reason. I have not looked into it very much but what options are available for those using IPAD instead of PC ?

@@JorgeMorales-do5pr I would stay away with ones with super high spin so as Pro V1 or Chrome Soft as they can eventually damage your screen. From my testing I found two that I liked and use that should be cheap: Srixon QStar or QStar Tour and Bridgestone C330. Hope this helps!
