Guy Pratt is the bass player and has been with Gilmour since Roger left the group( Floyd) in 1984. Guy has been with Pink Floyd and all of Dave's solo since.

2016 is the year of this concert, and it's the same bass player from 1994, Guy Pratt, he's just 22 years older here, lol. Huge Pink Floyd fan here, as well as a guitarist who gigged locally back in the 70s, Gilmour is one of my favorites! He's not flashy, he doesn't shred, (thank God), he plays with mostly an extended pentatonic and mixolydian scales, but with such expression and emotion that's singularly his own. His phrasing, his 3 and 3-1/2 or 4 step bends, and his own Gilmour-isk musical inflection style, is just a small part of his enormous talent, even here in 2016 when he's 70 years old. Incredible!

David Gilmour: they only man to perform in the Pompeii Amphitheater twice since 79 A.D. Once with Floyd and now solo. Women sat next to me a Dave's concert and started crying to this song. she later old me about her son who came back fro Afghanistan and had "troubles" which led to suicide.

A pretty good reaction video with probably one or two pauses ⏸️ too many and probably the most excitement you will get from a new Zealander telling you what he thunks about this but also his local fush and chups shop for the rest of us who don't have a new Zealand accent that means fish and chips

You read my mind as to the amount of absolute crap on radio and TV these days and they have the nerve to call it good music I'm beginning to think there are a lot of tone deaf people out there what a shame I love music I love pink floyd I'm eclectic so I love all types of music I'm 72 and have listened to loads of wonderful music over the years but pink floyd are perfection you can't compete with fifty odd years of experience that David gilmore has the man is in his mid seventees and still making great music that's how it's done long may he continue

Why in the world are you talking over this magnificence. I would prefer you pausing it, but what is your penchant to talk or interrupt during the best parts. It's uncanny. I love evertything else about you and the channel, I am a subscriber!

Great choice of music , especially Dave Gilmour. Only spoilt by your constant interruptions. This is a reaction video , not comparing what Bass backline was used compared to the one used in your band.

David Gilmore and PinkFloyd, nobody, especially in these days come close to them. Today it’s all crap. You listen to a new song, within a week it’s dead and buried. This music on the other hand is forever. You have to be dead if you don’t react to this.
