I went through Gary on I-94 from Chicago on my way back to Ann Arbor, Michigan it was a very fun trip and I got to go through different states other than Ohio for once too.

While not overly the most scenic ride, it is a fun section of road to drive with some nice curves in it.

You noted the need to rebuild the Cline Avenue overpass. That was discovered when bridge inspections were prompted by the I-35 West collapse in Minneapolis.

Towards Chicago, it's faster to use this than the Borman Expwy (I-80/I-94/US 6) because of tolls. Well, most of the time.

If I ever Drive through Gary, I'd Rather take I-80/94 through it. I-90 is pretty Messy and Confusing through Gary, IN in my Opinion. Great Video!

From my very limited experience in that area, I found that I-80/94 through the area is much more congested than I-90, but it does offer more lanes and no tolls.
