I was pissed at Katie's death and I'm BAWLING over Mateo's. And idk why but when Mark said "and for the first time in many nights I sank into a deep and *peaceful* sleep" I shed a tear. This story is truly incredible, everyone acting did such a great job! And even the people behind the scenes like the editors, they did a really great job.The story, the script, the dialogues, the way they were delivered is just incredible. I'm not the type to get into audio dramas but this might just be the start of me getting into more of them

this story was so good and I think it's fucking criminal that this is so *abhorrently* underrated, but the ending is too open. it's the same kind of "that's it? there's nothing else?" kind of ending that gets under your skin the more you think about it. I'm assuming that was the intention, but I honestly hate it.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's one of those stories that's really, really good and it just keeps building and building, but then the ending kind of flattens with no real pay-off. I actually thought it was a setup for a second season, but no- I guess there are no plans for a new "Edge of Sleep" series. They are making a TV show, though, so that's cool.

At the end when Dave's scars had disappeared I thought he had died in the dream...now that would have been a *crazy* ending. Listening to this series for the third time as I'm completely in love with it - the storytelling, sound design, dark humour. I'd love a season 2!

I loved the ending to be honest, this a symbolical story with a lot of meaning and I appreciate the “disappointing” ending many people didn’t enjoy. Just think about it…a story fully about dreams, the mind, spirits, humanity, the world, nature- there is so many ways you can interpret this story just like a dream itself. I definitely think is a masterpiece, its perfect the way it is!

I don't think this needs a season 2. You just need to understand the story better. Also, about 99% of the world is DEAD! And the villain has been defeated. There's really no need for a season 2. Season 2 for Borascca? Maybe. Or just an extra episode.

I think the reason that people want a season 2 is just because we don't know *anything* about the ending. do we really know that the elephant was defeated? do we really know that they're dead and not coming back? do we know the losses endured by the world? no. that's why endings like that get under peoples' skins. I'm not saying everything needs to be laid out in big white letters but an ending *this* open to interpretation is bound to get these kinds of receptions.

Grim WayToDie True. 1: You're right. The elephant might not be defeated. But it's like that with most stories. 2: Anyone who fell asleep got their brains BBQ'd with a black triangle. So, I doubt everything will go back to normal. 3: Basically, 99% of the world is dead and now Earth is an almost lifeless marble defending themselves from an evil that wants to snack on us like Pac-Man and Power Pellets. Now, Borascca. That deserves either one more episode or another season. And maybe The Left Right Game.

17:14 The hole time Dave was trapped in the pit in his dream I could help but think of Marcy Wu from Amphibia if she was trapped in the Core when Andris's father trapped her in darkness. Losing her memories and then eventually Anne and Sasha then her crying not knowing who she is but trapped in what feels like Hell. I'm so happy she was saved from the Core and Dave saved from the nightmares killing everyone.
