Hello, moto Cheese great video of course. What bike would you recommend for someone about 220 lbs and need a seat height of 31 inches. Yes I'm short legged. In Texas most roads posted speed limit is 75 mph. I know it takes a powerful bike to make that kind of speed with a relatively heavy rider? Would any of the china imports be up to the job?
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, none of these chinabikes 250 and under will do 75 cruising. Not many 250s will. I'd say get a DRZ400 if you want to stay somewhat light and still do those speed's
@abitofeverything1234
@abitofeverything1234 Жыл бұрын
@@MotoCheez or klx 300 , will do 75 mph easy, no vibrations, solid steady. The seat high is 33.9 and can be an issue, eBay has a kit , but 1.5 inch is most you can do. Good luck.

Your fuel tank is 1.69 gallons. If you want a fuel consumption benchmark my Templar X 250 is 2.3 gallons. So you will average 73% of my numbers if in the ballpark on just fuel capacity but you may need to adjust further if your displacement is say 219 CC. The motor on mine is 249.99 CC displacement and OHC vs pushrod so that would factor a bit. I have jetted up from stock so fuel consumption is a bit higher and I usually get to about 120 miles on the dash before I have to flip the petcock over to reserve. If I refuel every 100 miles on the trip meter I never run into any need to switch the petcock. If I am flogging it hard most of the time then I think about refueling around 80 miles on the trip. I am still well into he safe zone as I never seem to put in over 1.6-1.7 gallons when looking at the pump’s meter. I have about 520 miles or 30 hours on the engine so it will get better with more wearing in on the rings.

That sounds about right, I figured I'd get about a hundred miles out of a tank with the gearing I have I will have to see once I do some normal riding on the roads, good info!

It definitely a difference I was told the reason why they don't have any bike from over seas over 250 is because of important fee and other import reasons that why there all under a 250cc displacement 🏍️🛠️💯✌️

My friend and I were talking about eventually getting a couple Condor's and doing the 250 swap. But instead of going with the normal CG250 we'd go for the one from the Hawk DLX instead. I've looked it over a few weeks ago and aside from it having a counter balance it doesn't seem to have any other special wiring on it. So it should be able to take the intake for a carb just fine. Also, as much as we like the ride of full on road tires we're thinking about switching back over to knobby tires. Even though our trails have gotten a bit old we still miss being able to go on them every now and then. :)
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez Жыл бұрын
The DLX is EFI and neither of the hawks are counterbalanced. The carb hawk is same engine I used.

@@MotoCheez I don't really care about the fuel injection. I thought it was counter balanced versus the normal Hawk is what my main thing was. But if it's not I'll have to find a different alternative instead. I wonder if you can get the engine for the Raven instead. I think its' engine is counter balanced. As far as the swap goes I'm looking for something that's counter balanced rather than fuel injected. :)
