​@@NicolasMogensen Possible, but unfortunately the kid immediately admitted he didn't look/didn't see him 😂 At the same time, though - the copper is highly trained, and even I noticed and reacted to it faster than he did 😀Maybe the director elongated the clip a bit. While not the copper's fault, I think he was concentrating a bit further up the road - preparing for how he was going to negotiate the next corner and not the immediate risks at hand, perhaps as he said, no reason for the vehicle to move out to lane 2, so no need to hold focus on it. Either way, hilarious, kid's an idiot.

The Clio driver deliberately ran the Police officer off the road! The junction they were approaching doesn't allow right turns. The road marking and the markings on the traffic lights show this. The driver had no reason to pull out to the right other than the impede the Police.

Driver that thinks it's OK to drive 5 mph on a bad tire doesn't understand that a vehicle moving that slowly becomes a danger to other motorists. They don't expect to suddenly come upon a nearly-stationary car. Really concerning that some people have no awareness of their error and no respect for police. Driving isn't a right, it's a privilege based on agreeing to obey the law.

I felt a bit sorry for the Irish guy because it's not his fault he was so thick and stupid. That car was in no state to be driven at even three feet as the tyre was flat down to the wheel and had holes in it, for goodness sake, so it definitely had not passed an MoT, and another tyre was flat as well. He seemed to think he was above the law just because he held an Irish driving licence. What difference did that make? It would have been the same if he'd been Indian, Romanian, German or Klingon!

Mr no tires "I'm an engineer" should have that designation removed as well if he can't even begin to grasp that driving that slowly is itself a safety issue (not to mention the PC had a challenge to catch up, so you were NOT going that slowly), that the REAL engineer that set out 5 lugs probably is an ACTUAL automotive engineer, that the stresses of running on a mostly destroyed tire are quite a bit higher than a normally inflated and intact tire and so much more. I do understand the impulse to limp a vehicle home though, but if you give in that easily, I dont want to rely on anything you engineered for fear that you also cut corners under duress or the impulse to cut costs or deliver sooner etc.

I'm not sure how people don't realise if the police officer had braked it could have caused a worse crash - i.e. there could have been a driver behind him that would've gone into the back of them or he himself would have gone straight into the back of the Clio. Instead the officer managed to get out partially in front of the Clio and didn't end up getting trapped between the barrier. The driver should have been attentive and not gone into the right lane especially when they had sirens and lights on

A car behind him would've had to be going the same speed as the officer responding with lights and sirens in order to rear end him if he braked hard. The driver clearly didn't learn that checking his mirror is not enough to change lanes. You have to look over your shoulder at the blind spot before moving over.

I didn’t like the last statement from the police driver that hit the Clio when he said anyone in a collision with a police car should just accept it and say nothing. I have seen some very bad driving manoeuvres from police cars being driven under blue light situations, so if the police driver is in the wrong then that should be accepted as a possibility. In a lot of built up areas where they are often exceeding the speed limit and can often be double the speed limit which is blatantly very dangerous.

most accidents of this nature are because the driver didn't get out of the way of the police car. The noise is deafening, the lights are blinding and I believe they also have their headlights flashing. If you didn't hear/see them, then its your fault just like this stupid boy. It's your responsibility to get out of the way. Yes occasionally it's completely accidental and I expect sometimes it's a mistake by the driver of the police car. But I'm betting the stats show its usually the civilian that is at fault.

That fella driving on his rims, needs to back to engineering school, as no car is safe with only three bolts holding the tire on. I found out quickly, as some idiot tried to cut my lock nuts off. I had just come off the highway, and something didn't sound right. I turned right to go to my repair shop, and my right front tire flew off my car, and it landed up against a glass building. A kind person stopped, and asked if I needed help, and they drove me to the shop. They asked were my car was. I pointed to the top of the hill. He fixed my car while I was at work. I have never seem a normal car that uses bolts to hold the tires on. Bead lock rims are highly specialised, mainly used off-road and for drag racing. It's hard to understand how your right front tire came off... did it go flat and jump off the rim somehow?

This is pretty old footage so the RR wasn't as desirable as it would be now. If this happened now then it would 100% be worth fixing. In reality the insurance may not have thought it worth them repairing and would just be a CAT C/D. The plate went onto a Porsche 911 Turbo from 2005 - 2015 so payout must have been decent!

One might even say the Clio heard the siren, mirror check, saw police car currently in his lane behind him, hes opted to move out of officers path by changing lanes (police dash cam shows clio had used indicators to signal his intent for the right hand lane) officer should have atleast seen the clio (currently infront of him) express intent to move to right hand lane, where he then could use brakes signal left lane and undertake the Clio.. Whereas instead, it does kinda look like he tried to 'squeeze through' knowing he has the law on his side so if a collision does happen he wont be at fault. The fact the lad had no insurance was just a blessing

Two cops rushing at speed through traffic to a minor rear-end bump is not a safe response by the police! I once saw a police car screaming through Abingdon a few years ago, and when I passed the "incident" there was absolutely no reason why the police car had to bluelight it to get there. It was (again) a minor car collision and there was no issues about traffic just going round the two cars safely. There needs to be an enquiry about police potentially increasing the possibility of an incident occurring at a (unnecessarily high-speed) response when they could bluelight but maintain a safe speed to get to non-serious incidents.

What about mirror, signal, manoeuvre? 1 follows the other, you don't do all 3 at the same time, and in case you didn't know the Police are allowed to use lights and sirens. When it came to working out where the Primera was stopped, and even what country it was in, West Mercia is an English county, whereas Gwent is a Welsh one. The easy way of working out which county (or country) you would be in would have been the road sign just next to where the car was stopped, as the Overweight Vehicle sign was in both English and Welsh, indicating that it was in Wales, as both languages are used on Welsh road signs, whereas only English is used in England, but as the original offence was reported from West Mercia, would have thought that they would have wanted to handle it anyway..

The penalties for road traffic offences are clearly not severe enough when or if offenders are brought before the courts, no matter how minor - any accident should always result in an automatic lifetime driving ban, automatic cancellation of driving licence and insurance and automatic confiscation of the vehicle involved in the incident - absolute zero tolerance for even minor traffic offences is the only way to improve driving standards on the roads and is the only way to prevent major traffic accidents

I think the officer has a little bit of blame for the crash with the 17 year old - he was following in the lane behind him and then moved out late to overtake while going much faster than the speed limit - cop should have some responsibility for how other drivers (especially new drivers) aren't anticipating that kind of erratic driving.

Just watching the replays of red car vs police incident. Although the kid took it without consent, had no insurance and unsafely changed lanes there appsared to be enough distance/time for police car to hit breaks. The young man was wrong by law, the police driver appeared to have been in preventable accident. Big difference between preventable and statutory responsibility in motor vehicle accidents, but both can cause them.

How on earth could that driver not have seen/heard the police car? The noise is deafening close up and he must have heard it. They have the blues and twos on, plus flashing headlights. He just wasn't paying attention. Saying to his mum, I presume that it wasn't his fault was hilarious. Wait till he sees the camera footage. She's going to mad as hell. Plus he's not legal to drive. Being uninsured in the UK while driving is a serious traffic offence. While I am at it I think PC Joseph needs to chill out a bit more and adjust his attitude. He's a bit aggressive all told which has been unnecessary. He was arsy with the lady whose Landrover got written off, when he could have been a bit less short with her for a start and quite aggressive in other situations we saw him in. I can see that in a serious situation, he might make matters worse with his attitude.
