I wish when you do these comparisons instead of doing an obstacle course. Is too much of a chance for human error. I would like to see some sort of drag race it may be a GPS top speed on both vehicles. The only thing that stinks about my suggestion is it doesn't really test their handling. So do both LOL. I like your videos keep up the good work.

Hi Anthony ha ha cheers for the feeds back much appreciated it, I’ll try see if I can do a speed and handling test next time, I don’t have a gps speed meter so handling was the easier option. ;) cheers for watching

I have a 2016 rere. With a MIP ball diff and a Tamiya TZ motor. Makes it a beast !!

Always fancied a Blackfoot with a MIP diff just to see what it’s like 👍

Cool vid. My first good R/C was the ORV Blackfoot. I think your times were off by driving a stick radio better. The driving seemed smoother. I started on stick, and despite 30 some years with pistols I think I'm still better on a stick.
@andyrobinsonrc24804 ай бұрын
Yeah I much prefer to use a stick radio set , so when I go racing I always make sure I’ve got my sticks ready ;) cheers for watching

As well as getting the BF III from you, I also picked up an Xtreme. Going to go 4X4 on one or both of them. I like the decals in the OG BF you did. 👍🏼
@andyrobinsonrc24803 жыл бұрын
Hiya, cheers fella. Look forward to seeing the video on them once there ready. The decals I used on the OG BF are ok they aren’t super quality but they were ok for the body I had. Looks ok though from a foot or two away ;)

If you want to see which is the quickest why don’t you just put the truck side by side and do a drag race. Honestly, I had both and to me, I prefer the original Blackfoot over the WT-01 Blackfoot Extreme/III.
@andyrobinsonrc24803 жыл бұрын
Cheers Christopher, I thought it was more fun to go round a course rather than just a straight line. I agree, I prefer the original Blackfoot as well, cheers for commenting

Fun little race. Sound like the Blackfoot lll is slipping in transmission when take of.
@andyrobinsonrc24803 жыл бұрын
What the problem was I’d forgotten to glue the rear tyres to the wheels rims , so when it accelerated hard the rim spun inside the tyre, oops

It’s pretty common on the monster trucks or very hard compound tyres
@ValleyRC3 жыл бұрын
I was going to say it sounded like the tyres slipping, that's why it was a bit gentler off the line. Like a clutch lol

I wonder how the Blackfoot iii would improve if it had a 540j 4 slot motor?
@andyrobinsonrc24803 жыл бұрын
Maybe a little quicker Nick? but depends if the extra speed would overcome the hand along issues ?
@xismxist3 жыл бұрын
The stock mabuchi silvercan with grey endbell has higher rpm, but the 540J has slightly more torque and since the truck is geared low rpm is what it needs

2011 model didn't sound right. Something was slipping. Either axle pin has buggered off or wheel spilling in the tyre. Need to get my bush devil drivable again !

Yeah unfortunately the wheels were spinning inside the tyres on the 2011 Blackfoot

Good RC trucks 👍 I was stupid to buy a Tamiya Nissan King Cab RC truck (ball-diff ). It is a shit box 😢

@@andyrobinsonrc2480 can you please tell me how to make it better 👍
@andyrobinsonrc24803 жыл бұрын
If you look up ampro engineering on KZbin a guy used team associated gearbox on his. Another way is to fit a super astute gearbox and internalls as the king cab shares the rear end with the astute/super astute , hope that helps a little
