Dont believe any of their bullshit about capacity, capabilities, or readiness. They said they had more studios than ever before working on 2042 and that they were ahead of schedule and that was a complete lie. The game shipped extremely unfinished and terrible.

@@Tewo84 great. Battlefield Labs doesn't mean they won't introduce skins or other mechanics to disrupt and disrespect the franchise. At best, it's a CTE 2.0 play, which is a good way to test mechanics and bugs, but doesn't have much sway on the overall game. Don't get hyped at this point.

The thing that baffles me is that for the most part the community in battlefield kinda all want the same thing or is at least on a similar page. This isn’t like call of duty where you have a bunch of people that all want different things and you can’t please everyone. In theory it really should not be hard to make a banger battlefield game that 95% of people will like.

In Battlefield 2042 they cared more about pushing the woke agenda and childish gameplay/estetichs with shiny skins. The soldiers in BF should never be females either. Completley destroys the warfare feeling since its so unrealistic

BF5 was far better than BF2042. Totally crazy that they stopped working on that in favour of BF2042. They should have creates Eastern front maps, Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, Falaise pocket, Hurtgenwald, Cologne, Battle of Berlin.

I have to say, the teaser footage for the next Battlefield looks really good. I know it's little and it's still very early, and still we should NOT pre-order, but it does look like they finally learned their lesson. It only took them 7 years.

It looks good because it's a scripted trailer. It isn't gameplay. Game doesn't necessarily look or play the game way at all. But it does look good and gives some hope.

At the end of their life cycle BFV and 2042 are not bad games at all IMO. Both games had terrible launch and community management. Bottom line. Listen to your community and make a good and polished experience from the get go and you drastically increase their chance's of succes. Since the management arrived ( season 1 of 2042) I feel like good decision are made. Lets hope that continues. And the little snippet of gameplay was what they said they were going for. Bf3/4 vibe. I am optmistic.

@ im a bf fan. Played 1500 hours on 2042. I had and still have a blast. I think it is better then hardline. It is over hated imo. I get plenty of bf moments in that game. It is still better than many other fps games out there. But I get it.

I disliked a lot of the core fundamentals of 2042 but somehow I find there's still a fun sandbox in there. With BFV I liked a lot of the concepts but the teamplay, flow and pacing still wasn't quite there for me. I hope they can take learnings from both and maybe do a bit of iteration.

Bf5 was good but had a bad marketing campagain and some cosmetics made a bad gameplay experience for somee. Bf2042 was promising. A near future setting with todays gaming tecnology sounded awesome however the lack of attention to detail, bugs, corny voicelines, bad animations and very fast movement, stepping away from classes and replacing it with operators etc. Made bf2042 one of the worst battlefields ever made

I'd love that, even if in portal. Battlefield 2 is probably my favourite title in the series. I only managed to try 2142 last year and wish that I got to play titan mode at its peak, remaster would be the only way to do so at this point

I'm curious how they'll handle the elephant in the room... Women on the battlefield. I have no problem with women in games, and i think women protagonists are great. but when it comes to a war game to me it just doesn't make sense. I remember playing BFV for the first time and hearing a ton of women screaming and it just destroying any immersion and making me crack up. I get it, there are some women in combat roles in certain places in the world but it's an exception not the norm.
