Its a flood of negativity and looking for the three or four well written feedback posts is also not a slice of what the majority of players want. Having a dedicated test environment, as they did with cte, will help focus that feedback and bering it in line with their vision, thats my opinion.

It's true. They somehow don't understand: 1. Solid Map designs + Modes (Rush in particular) that worked very well on these maps 2. Focused Class + Vehicle Design with Rock/Paper/Scissors Balance 3. Don't forget battlefield 20something also had multiple " big studios of ea" on the same game (I think it was 3) . Well they had to because most people left those studios and only 3 skeleton crews were left. Maybe I am miss remembering and it was the "new: battlefield 1". Still I am never confident if they have multiple studios on the same job.

They nostalgia-baited the BF community HARD with the 2042 Promotional cycle; you have to give it to them, DICE knows how to make a fantastic trailer. They are not to be trusted. Let the actual game speak for itself. Wait for gameplay. Sign-up for testing and see if you can get a chance to experience what they're making yourself (as long as you're serious about giving them feedback, good and bad). P.S. This will 100% be a live-service title full of MTX. EA can't help themselves (and they're dying).

2 problems I saw right off the bat: - The word “New” was thrown around far too much. “New” was the problem with some of the newer generations of BF. We’re not asking for new. Quite the opposite. - “We have to find gameplay that really resonates with the players, and then build on that.” YOU HAD IT! From BF:1942, all the way to BF4, you had it. (Honorable mention to BF1)Then, you changed it. You wanted to “Bring in new players.” (There’s that word again) And, in turn, pushed away 70% of the old players. We need them to STOP listening to content creators, and fly up some of us that have been playing since Demo Wake Island to test the game and give feedback. Here’s some to start them off… -Bases aren’t OB to one team. Learn to defend your base from sneaks. -Bases have destroyable equipment (BF2). More reason to play both offense, and defense. -VEHICLES SPAWN AGAIN! And not just when people pick them. This is a HUGE missing link in the fun that was BF. -Maps not so fuckoff massive that there needs to be huge gaps between POIs. -!!!Make Rush Great Again!!!

@ BF1 was OK. It was very pretty. It still suffered greatly by “new mechanics” changing things. (Planes spawn in air; part of the map is OB to me, but not to you. Just a few to start. ) BUT, “Immersion” doesn’t belong in battlefield multiplayer. It’s not meant to tell you a story and take you to places, and that’s been the problem. In fact, I submit that BF single player should be a completely separate game, and should be worked on independently. What works for SP doesn’t always work for MP. Mechanics like, getting in/out vehicles. I don’t want a 3 second cutscene of my guy opening a fucking door on an armored car. I WANT IN THE FUCKING CAR! You know, the Battlefield way, “POP!” I’m sure it’s just grand for SP depth and immersion. On the MP side, completely ruins multiple of the best “only in BF” moments possible.

This will genuinely be their last chance at redemption. I remember being so excited for 2042 after the mess that was Battlefield V, imagining myself playing for hours every day. Then the game launched and after 10 hours I just stopped, what a joke that game was. This game really needs to be good, the campaign needs to be good, there needs to be enough content, the gameplay and visuals need to be good. I am not optimistic at all tbh but if it is good, then I'll be over the moon. Remember guys, do NOT preorder this game.

Scoreboard is actually bad. Would be nice if players couldn't know instantly if they killed someone. It would add another layer of complexity. Also what is squadplay they mentioned in the video? What a fantasy concept for a battlefield game.

Just for the sake of sharing.. My place in the queue was in the 200,000 range. It took about 7 to 8 hours to finally get in. Yet I had to wait beyond the 15 minute limit because there was too much traffic so half an hour later I was finally able to sign up,then I did the 5-10 minute survey for the bonus chance increase. On a separate browser, I checked the queue, and it bumped up to 400,000 to 500,000 in line. Clearly, there's a lot of interest,but we have to be patient,BF5 and 2042 were highly anticipated,yet they had record low player numbers,loss a lot money and took years to improve. Yet both had their main dlc update support cut short to just patches and server maintenance updates. BF5 and 2042 are better now compared to launch, but even then,they were still in the shadow of BF4 primarily and secondary by BF1. (*Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 were officially shut down,so you have no choice but to do a workaround on PC)

As having a keen eye for detail. You can see that all the soldiers are all in a British Army style uniform, with MTP camouflage, mk6/mk7 helmets and webbing systems. However, also includes an Abrams tank (US Army). Possibly showing that this will have country themed classes (BLUFOR & OPFOR) like bf3 and bf4?

This was such a cringe reveal. 1) Theyre copying the Halo Studios strategy 2) They're making a dramatic video about doing development correctly, the way good studios have done it for decades 3) Their focus on a bigger, global studio isn't impressive, it's worrying since we know what happened to Bethesda and other studios that grew so much that all the teams were disconnected. Bad company 2 just felt amazingly to play at the time The sound design was PEAK the characters shouting from across the map was hilarious I think the style the game looked was nice with those weird brownish filter and dusty And omg the Head shots actually felt like head shots unlike the later games

I remember getting roasted because I was saying that the battlefield 2042 trailer didn't look like battlefield to me. It looked like call of duty+fast and furious. Fast forward how've many months forward to release and that's exactly what it was. Shit operators that were designed for skin sales, "abilities", and a completely unserious tone. The writing was on the wall, but people saw the Rendezook and were like "uhh no EA is just giving the players what they want!" People were baited by fan service. Now we have seen pre alpha footage for bf6, and THIS is what the tone should be. Yeah, goofy shit happens in battlefield, but the game itself has always maintained a self serious tone, and simply allows for players to experiment in a sandbox and that's what leads to the goofy stuff. You don't lean into it and make your game about that. So here's to hoping that ea has learned their lessons and we can get a game that will actually please legacy bf players, instead of trying to court the low attention span audience from other games.

Literally just remake BF4. Delta Force is just BF4, with modern weapon customization and it's more popular than COD right now. Delta Force currently has a higher average player count than COD (which counts as MW3, BO6 and Warzone cominbed) gets in a 24 hour peak. This is the most frustrating part about DICE and EA. They found the recipe to make a delicious pizza, just to throw it away. They made the perfect game, for its time, with BF4 then decided to go in a completely different direction. People claim to have liked BF1, but if you actually played BF1, it wasn't fun. There was zero customization, very limited destructability, a gimicky catch up mechanic to make the losing team feel better and a stupid weapon bloom mechanic that made your shots hit random locations. They eventually fixed the weapon bloom system, but it took them nearly 2 years to do that, which then just left a really empty feeling shooter with zero progression mechanics. BFV and 2042 just continued to expand on the worst aspects introduced in BF1. The only good thing about BF1 was the music and atmosphere. Bring back destructible evironments (literally the thing that put Battlefield on the map with Bad Company). Bring back proper in game achievement mechanics like camo grinds, calling cards, emblems, attachment challenges, etc. Stop disbanding lobbies and give us server selection again. Get rid of the stupid hero mechanics, this is war, not Overwatch. Lastly, reset back to the traditional 4 man squad with the traditional 4 class system of medic, assault, heavy, sniper. The 1st or 2nd most important aspect that defines a Battlefield game are the squad mechanics. Individually, you are weak and your class choice has a ton of flaws, but bring your squad together and you can control the battle.

Just hope that they dont try to be like cod and just keep it "slow paced" and "realistic" because the last thing i would like to see is someone bunnyhopping and slidecancelling me in a battlefield game

Bf3 and 4 were the games with the same accents like cod games - fast paced arcade tdms with very little teamplay. And next Bf will be same. You can't get rid of this twitchy movement stuff, it won't be accepted by a modern player.

The only game ive ever pre ordered is bf 2042, EA has taught me to never do that again
