Woke up to the very sad news of George Baldock's passing last night. For those who have watched me for a while, you'll know I've told a few anecdotes about playing against him in school football as we were in the same year group. George went to the Royal Latin and I attended the school opposite, so our schools normally played each other two or three times during the year. Right from Year Seven you could tell George was a phenomenal talent who had all the ability to turn professional one day and thus it's no surprise he did, but what really struck me was how nice and humble he was. A lot of kids who have elite talent at a particular skill, good looks and unanimous popularity in school can often be a bit cocky or arrogant but George was the complete opposite; down to earth with real humility and respect for everyone. After every game whether he put one or two past me (he didn't play right back in school but striker or on the wing, too good to not be up top!) or if I was lucky enough to stop him scoring, he'd always shake my hand and say good game and on more than one occasion praised my performance or ability, and the one time I spoke to him outside of football (at a party in a local village hall, glamorous!) he was just the same as he was on the pitch; really nice, positive and engaging. Talent gets you through the door, and your attitude keeps you in the room, and this is why he was able to progress up the EFL to the Premier League and compete against the best, whilst also playing on the international stage for Greece too. A top player but also a wonderful young man, this is a tragic loss for football and his family and friends too, who I give my sincere condolences to. RIP George. 🙏🏻❤

Jobe Bellingham is another very versatile player. He could play anywhere in the midfield, Striker, maybe even FB in a bind. Might be worth picking him up next year if you can’t afford him in January.

You should consider 4-1-2-1-2 wide it seems like it is a better fit for your midfielders.

I would love to see you scout in brazil or signing more brazilians to play with the president. There is a striker in brazil called jhon Kennedy who is pretty good but he is not in the game. Maybe the will play together for brazil, that would be funny 😂
