I’m trying to figure out why they stopped updating live 19. Second live online play is better than 2k. The visuals, having fans, 1 court, and match play. I don’t want another 2k so people on here talking about making the game like a old 2k, no. We want our own game not another 2k.

Me personally, I'd love to get an HD Remaster of the NBA Street Trilogy, but music licensing will probably prevent that. Since there's been radio silence for the past few years, "HD Basketball Title" can literally mean *Anything* at this point, so college basketball is probably the most likely scenario 🤔

In my option they should not use the NBA marker anymore. Market their product as a street ball, Pro-Am and custom teams /league. Controls should also be pick-up and play user friendly like 2k17. Also, have 3pt and Dunk contest with a hype-man like 2k10-13 blacktop.

That would be nice but problem with that they still have a contract with nba so they have to fulfill the commitment, plus they can still make a nba game they literally just have to listen to 2k community on what they don’t like about 2k and put those ideas into their game to try and sway over some fans

They've said several times that they are working on an *"HD Basketball Title* at some point. My guess it's going to be NCAA or something similar, but I'd wager that NBA Live as we know it is done

Pretty much agree, I think they wanted to bring back live but the nba priced them out with the licensing fees and it would be impossible to profit. Now the NBA has gone in full partnership with 2k with the 2k league and now league pass included in the championship edition. EA should just drop a free to play Live Run and take the extra resources from no licensing fees to build a robust online basketball rpg. Then create a legit competitive scene with leagues and tourneys. Promote it as the VBL virtual basketball league and makes it its own thing so you are celebrating the gamers instead of the nba players.

No it wouldn’t they already have that 2k arcade version of playgrounds that nobody plays as it is. 2k itself has basically become arcade style with all 3s, dunks, and blocks. How about get a legit simulation of the sport.

if they could care about the game entirely and consistently put effort they could do good. nba live 18 has key basketball features over 2k22 next gen(on ball and ankle breaker system, and contact dunk system) although broken amd date due to time and updates 2k still can't figure out stuff that live did well especially the 18 on ball system. 2k still is fully animated in a lot of areas.

Just seems to me NBA Live19 just plays better than 2K and it's a lot less buggier. It has less content but easier controls. Let's be honest, making a basic layup in 2k can be iffy but in NBA Live it's pretty much a sure thing for the most part. Anyway I love this game..41 Corners!!!

Also, 2k really is a dumpster fire since 18 with 19 and 20 being decent games at best, and that Live was genuinely great from my own personal experience and the exps of others. Live had its fair share of problems that they really needed to improve of, but they at least (From the observation of courts with artwork from real life artists, the realistic All-Star to Superstar skillsets of players, Muscle and Player movement, Realistic details on the players specific to them, like The small hair next to the side of Tatum's lip that I know that from being a Celtic fan, Females in the Park, the clothing from theshirts to the shoe game) actually put a lot of love into both 18 and 19 beyond the surface level of what players normally see and I can appreciate both games as a old head myself. By Contrast, 2k just continues its downward spiral because 1; Most if not all the problems Live had with its game, 2k has them at a far greater degree than Live ever did, and 2. Because 2k cannot copy off of Live anymore since Live got tired of them STEALING EVERYTHING and Plagiarizing off of Live and EA on everything from the Mascots that originated from NCAA, Shirtless from NBA street, Archetypes and Face scans from Live 16, Court Conqueror, Daily Events from Live 18's Court Battles and Livestrike. Tireless defender from Relentless Defender from live 19, Post Playmaker from Post Vision in Live 19, Bullet Passer from Bullet Pass being the most lazy from Live 19 and the List can go and on of all the stuff they stole from Live and EA which is why EA has waited so long to put out a new B-Ball Game. But this little rant is just my opinion as well as a few others. I respect your Vids and Streams man so keep up the good work! Let me know what you think about what I shared with you.

If 2K stole everything from Live, why didn’t it work for Live? Hell, if Live does come back, they need to steal from 2K. Especially the NBA portion of the game.

It is because Most people didn’t play live to see what they were offering. 2k knew most would not want to play it, especially since there would be most of 2k KZbinrs, who wouldn’t want competition and would trash Live saying its bad. Some reviews are fair, but most are not since they wouldn’t even go in depth or play it extensively like they should, to see what it truly has to offer. Due to this, most people would just listen to them without playing it for themselves to actually see if it was trash for them. Its like if you had a Ice Cream with so many rare flavors to choose along with great customer service, only for another person with the same kind of business to being more popular, but not as good when it comes to the product, having its employees saying your business is trash, and most customers would then not even try your business from themselves and only going to your rival employees. That is the same predicament Live is in. Also, they have nothing to gain from stealing from 2k. 2k is just not “Nearly” original enough of a product to steal from. The Rabbit-hole for amount of things they stole goes really really deep. I could spend all day talking about the things they stole from Live and Ea, so Live wouldn’t have anything to gain from stealing. 2k needs Live, but Live does not need 2k.

Do you know how many people say Live should have a neighborhood, or Live would be better if it had 2Ks animations. And are you honestly trying to tell me that Live's offline modes are better than 2Ks? It's a reason why NBA Live players only play one game mode, (Live Run) because it's the only one worth playing. You may find this hard to believe, but there are many people out there that buy NBA videogames to play the actual NBA portion of the game. That is why 2K is more popular, because it has more to offer. And all of those things that you say 2K “steals“ from Live. None of them are gamechanging. Because if they were, they would be gamechanging for Live as well and it wouldn't keep getting cancelled.

But as I said, those things pale in comparison to the problems that come with 2k have with their Gameplay as well as the other aspects. Live has a Seven Game Series in head-to-head online. I ask you Politely and Respectfully, Why does 2k not have a mode like that? Also, when it comes to Neighborhoods, there are starting to be more and more players that are wishing that there was no Neighborhood due to the social problems that comes with the Neighborhoods with dudes constantly running from games (A thing that is possible, but harder to do in a matchmaking system) and just want the online to be matchmaking instead. Also, I don’t find it hard to believe that people buy the game Primarily or Only the NBA portion of the game. While I will be honest and say that the 5v5 in 2k (For the most part when it is not broken) is better than Live, The gap between them is not as wide as it appears. My boy and I even had two Seven Game Series that were genuinely more fun for us both than the ones we had in “ALL” the more recent 2ks since 19, we have played, because of Live’s better Gameplay and 2ks Gameplay overall being terrible since 20. I have to “Respectfully Agree To Disagree” with you about the stealing not being Game-changing, because it was the exact thing that lead to them canceling future releases. They put a lot more Love into 18-19 than 2k has done with 4 games, 2 of them being on Next-Gen consoles. Even if Live comes with all the suggestions that you others want, 2k will still find a way to steal from them or claim that they were The Original Pioneers for those ideas, which they weren’t, which most will believe without any research of their own, and Live will feel cheated as of result. the Neighborhood and City were Stolen Ideas from Sports Stream Networks, who purposed the idea to 2k back long before 14 came out with Park, and they gave him no credit for the idea. I respect your opinion and appreciated the logic you articulated, but Live is the Innovator, where as 2k is the Copier. Hopefully Live is lit when it comes out.

I call for this 10 years ago when EA Sports was relevant in the NBA arena I said you don't want to make games every year just update the one you make put out of DLC with a new season updated rosters it's not hard and nobody wanted to hear it then as far as people not wanting to play EA there are people still playing 19 and if 19 still has an audience in 22 and you don't understand that everybody's not a 2K head something is wrong at EA there are millions of NBA Live fans out there who would buy an EA Sports NBA basketball game again if you'd only put one out if you don't want to put one out put out an update for 19 people still play it they would love an updated draft class just give us something so that we don't have to go to that pizza garbage they called 2K

Just downloaded NBA 2k22 and did a Rage Quit in MyCareer as instead of going straight to play Basketball I needed to walk through that open City to talk to people, I don't have time for that, it's not fun. I loved the old NBA 2k until 2k14. I then just played 2k17 and getting flooded with the VC bullshit was so annoying. Playing NBA live 18 was so refreshing.

In my opinion, the smart play might be, and they already have the ground work here with ncaa football potentially coming out in the next year, if EA is smart, leverage the ncaa licensing and create an ncaa basketball game. However, also create an nba game and allow for importing draft classes and rookies into the nba game like they used to do with the ncaa games and you could import into madden. This might be a smart move also since 2k seems to have limited licensing with the ncaa. If they could do that they might be able to get to that base of players that loved the old college basketball games they had.

man imagine "Live Basketball The Street" where they just make it free to play but drop the NBA and only have myplayers and a city where you grind your player. To give it a way to grind your player have summer leagues against AI so you can get your player stats up a little then once you hit like 70 overall have the city open up and have a pro am league, a random team "rec" gym then a bunch of random courts all over. They could completely rip off the city in NBA 2k but also implement different cities like how sunset and rivet used to be. I think it could be amazing and it could save them millions from dropping the nba stuff. to make money have a VC that can only buy new outfits and shoes but have all the attributes level from on court play. A game solely focused on the pvp basketball would dominate 2k
