Yes, I believe, sadly, the only reference to TVD in Moonlight Falls is the parody of "Mystic Falls" the name. I think it's because when TS3 Supernatural came out TVD was still relatively new, so it didn't catch on as hard as it has now!

My grandmother worked at UCLA at the time New Moon came out and they had the premiere at the theater across from her office. She couldn’t leave work because of all the traffic and she was so confused why there were so many preteens screaming and crying.
