The fact that, in 30 years of video game football, they have yet to manage proper "celebrations", when you're down, is baffling to me. It can't be that difficult to add some proper automatic goal reactions, when scoring the 1-4 or 1-5 in a game.

It's an easy to implement feature that can be done with a simple if statement if I'm being honest. The devs already have 2 variables which stores your score and your opponents score in whole numbers. When someone's team scores, you would add 1 to their score and then run the If statement which would be if the team that got scored on minus the team that scored is greater then or equal to 1, then the team that scored is behind so don't trigger a celebration animation. Then the else afterwards runs if the first statement isn't true so if your equal to or above the opponents score, trigger the celebration animation. if(TheTeamThatGotScoredOn - TheTeamThatScored >= 1) { //then don't trigger a celebration animation} else { celebrate away } The thing is that they'd need new animations to play implementing that feature, which might be their problem.
