EA SPORTS PGA TOUR - IS IT WORTH IT?

In todays video, we are asking the question is EA SPORTS PGA TOUR Worth it?
The game has been out for 2 months now and we've played over 50 hours, so we can make a clear conclusion now we have had a good amount of time with the game.

Great video. I happened to watch this today which also happens to be during the steam summer sale and picked up EA PGA Tour for $35 US dollars. I’d say that’s a good price 😅

Wouldnt have paid 59 quid for this. I got it for 29 last week on steams sale. Its fiendishly hard compared to 2k21 and 23 but still strangely addictive. It feels like real golf somehow.

I personally think 2k is the trickier series as the tempo is much more important

Really sound advice. I’ve just finished the 10 hr trial and expect to play the career only. Debating whether to spend the £35 it is on sale as I’ve actually really enjoyed the trial. If I was buying it not clear to me of the deluxe version is worth it for an extra £7.

Thanks I was wondering if it was worth it because the reviews on STEAM are mixed, its on special for 12$cad figured thats a good price. its just for some casual golfin, im not a golf fan per se but I enjoy playing it on console/pc because in real life im rubbish at golf, also, used to play a lot on console as kids with my brother, Cheers!

Hi there. Enjoy your vids and subscribed. But have a question. How do you hit driver off the fairway? I assume you have to upgrade one of the specs of your golfer but not sure. I have my folder at 94 but still can’t hit driver off the fairway.

I tend to stay away from driver off the fairway to he honest as my results can vary haha, I have my power ranked up and I've got better driver spec unlocked. So most drives are close to 300 at the minute. And thank you for subscribing!

Can anybody confirm if turn order has been added for online private matches? I read somewhere that if you play match play with a friend online now that turn order is now added so that you can watch your friend take their shots. I really need to know that before I buy the game. Thanks!

I bought the deluxe edition for 25 n it only brings up the tutorial/masters course n i cant get to the main menu and it says currently installing. access to the rest of title is restricted untill full game is installed even tho it says I purchased both

If the games not fully downloaded it will give you access to a small part of the game. If it's fully downloaded I'm not sure

It's a shame. I jumped from TGC 2019 right to EA. I love the graphics and different shot approaches. I think I'm going to have to get 2K23 for the online tournaments.

@@stgrimmy1692 why today the most important thing is online multiplayer availablility? That doesnt actually make the gameplay better or worse, and we are playing for the gameplay arent we? I mean yea it's fun competition online but..... if Golf feels more real in one game, then I dont even think about the multiplayer stuff. It's about Golf isnt it?

For me I like both of the career modes, if you want Majors and real tournaments aplenty then EA is the way to go.

There is but when I played it even though we had a controller each the game seemed to force us to share an controller after a few shots which is quite annoying.

No, it's not worth it. I've had it less than a month and the Career Mode is already not working and there's no way to fix it. Save your money!

Its worth 20 bucks tops. Can't even level up past lvl 50. Can't even level up your golfers skills all the way.

Ea sports Career mode blows 2k out the water to me it’s a better game by far I had 2k first and love it but boy once I got Ea it was a wrap.

I go back and forth and I think the rpg elements are better in 2k but 2k does treat itself graphically like a budget sports game which ironically is what 2k games used to be. I also feel like I have less control over the ball. At first it was annoying because I didn’t know how to control it but once I did(somewhat I’m still a total noob) I like ea better. My putting sucks in both games I need major assistance haha

@@stgrimmy1692 yeah I’m doing the challenges to practice and you have to play with the direction and get the right angle and power. It’s not easy but it feels legitimately just as hard for me in 2k. Hell I was playing Mario golf for Nintendo 64 and it’s putting mechanics can be hard to judge distance. It’s a learning curve. I’ll get it eventually.

People like yourself like 2k23 PGA because the game is easy and cpu does most of the work all the player has to is get the swing correct and you can put the ball where you want,i have all of the 2k PGA games and i have won multiple tournaments and topped the golf rankings.But with the EA game i have not won any tournaments because the game is much more difficult and it is not a game for the casual gamer like 2k23PGA.

I am playing on Master swing on 2k and Hard swing on EA. I wouldn't say it's a case of 2K being too easy at all. I like both games. Just EA need more modes. The difficulty isn't the issue.

Im hoping 2k finally steps it up now. Their Games not even optimized for PS5 grapics look terrible in comparison and the load times and replay transitions take way too long.

I think there's 2 main factors to graphics for 2k. The size of the studio and the fact that the games are tied to two generations like you saym

From what I've seen so far from the EA game they're at a disadvantage and if EA makes the proper improvements going into their next game it should be awesome. I'm pretty excited to see what they release and how things shake out.

I deleted this game months ago. I don't recommend buying this game even when it's on sale. and the ones who spend money on pro pass I find laughable. out of 166 games in my library this game is the only one I regret buying. and the newest updates that I see hasn't changed my opinion of this game l. I regret it even more today.
