Almost bought the Quintet last week but instead went with the EA1000, largely due to your recommendation. It came in yesterday and I'm really satisfied! That bass texture is simply out of this world, and I love their overall versatility. Acoustic music sounds full and spacious, meanwhile grittier genres like metal and dubstep have a physicality to them that hits in just the right way. Thanks a bunch for your reviews!

EA1000 and Quintet is similar interms of resolution but the EA1000 has better coherence and unique bass resonance. The Quintet has a very distinct hybrid tone!

Great review! And sounds like another winner for Simgot. Seeing as I probably won't be able to afford this yet 😭, which would you recommend I should go for, the EA500 or the EM6L? Or are they really different and thus both worth considering getting? Currently have the S12 Pro, Sonus, Z300, 7hz Zero, and Wan'er. So I'm looking for something that is a little different and thus complements my current sets. The EM6L seems like the easy choice, but would like to get your input since I think you mentioned in a different review that the EA500 has better details than the EM6L. Music is mostly rock (math, shoegaze, indie, progressive, dream pop, alt) and more female vocalists (maybe 70%). Thanks SuperChonk!

The EA500 is closer in terms of sound to the EA1000 but a level down. It does not have the resolution and beautiful timbre of the EA1000. This is to be expected. But do note that the EA500 in its price class has amazing technicalities. It might sound a little bright for some folks so if you get that I's suggest some narrower bore eartips like the final type E. The EM6L on the other hand is a warmer sounding IEM that is vastly different from the EA500. It isn't as bright and has a bit more focus on the mids. I think in terms of resolution the EA500 but the EM6L sound fuller by comparison. Between the 2, I personally prefer the EA500. If you find it a little bright, you can try eq-ing it by lowering it at 3k .

And hard to get mad at your preference for the cheaper set 😅 but the EA500 honestly does seem like a set that will still be talked about years down the line. With the hype around hybrids, it is very cool to see a really well done 1DD like the EA500! Thank you for your input! Will wait til 11.11 before pulling the trigger on anything 😅

Geeze. Tough question if I am honest. Both are good and similar. I found the A5000 to be a little smoother in the upper mids but the EA1000 has a very nice resonant bass characteristics. Between the 2 it is a real toss up!

Both are excellent just done so with different flavours. EA1000 is more coherent because it’s a single DD. The Quintet is good too but cannot match the EA1000 in terms of coherence.

They are different. Legato clearly has more bass but the way it decay is very different from the EA1000

EA1000 sounds better than EA500LM to me. I own both. The EA1000 sounds slightly more open with better separation and detail. It's overall a little brighter sounding than EA500LM which sounds a tad warmer. All Simgots sound warm to my ears so the brightest set (EA1000) will sound best.

What i found in Simgot iems is lack of bass quantity or thin bass. Using ew200 which is good. Between ea1000 and Em6L which got better bass in quantity and quality ?

Ea1000 has better quality bass. I do find them enough for me. But really if you are looking for a bassy set try the 7hz Legato.

On aliexpress they have a mod kit for the ea500 if I remember correctly its a bass mod involving new tuning foam hope that helps calm your desires for new nozzles

The EM6L is of a different signature compared to the EA1000. I found it to be better in terms of resolution and tone. Coming from the EM6L you might find the EA1000 a little brighter.

Its a different flavor compared to the Planar of the Timeless AE. I feel that the Timeless AE is a little more robust in tone while the EA1000 has more finesse

Depends on your treble sensitivity. They are better but they are brighter than EM6L. As the treble aids in positioning which is key for gaming but also comes at a cost of being slightly more fatiguing. The EM6L is warmer and can be easier to listen longer but I won’t say that they are as precise.
