that's the most buggiest app there is. I had to completely disable it and use third party. I got my phone in 2021 but even today u can find the same bug found by miui reddit users making their gallery unusable. It's been years and they still haven't fixed this bug. It's what make me never buy a xiaomi phone again.

Miui user here since miui 6..What a journey now with miui 14. MIUI has many ups & downs in earlier versions. But since MIUI 12 , it progress into minimalist theme from feature rich theme. I think it's good decision by MIUI. For you to know, every MIUI major system update never promise new features. It usually took 1 major system change and adding new features every 2 - 3 years. They tried to smooth the experience in between those years by giving not much visual change system update. If I remember correctly MIUI 6, MIUI 8, MIUI 12.5 has added most of the new features but well some are exclusive to China. If you want to use more features , go for China stable. If you're more into less buggy and more stable android experience, go for Global release rom. In terms of system update, China rom got the update faster than global version. Global rom has received new updates in 3 or 4 mths per year and most of them are just security patch updates. MIUI 14 is far most stable rom in both versions. I am using China rom in my tablet & global rom in my phone. Global version of MIUI 14 is just number change compared to China MIUI 14. It didn't happen before. This is the first time most of the new features are restricted to Global rom.

Every Xiaomi problem - bad microphone. As a music enthusiast, Xiaomi is the least wanted phone for me. For example, if you video record your band practice or live concerts, the mic won't record the lows. It only records treble which is a huge problem. This is why I shifted to Samsung.

I currently have Samsung's S22 Ultra. I previously had Xiaomi flagship phones and currently still have a basic Redmi Note 10 Pro along with the S22 Ultra. Fundamentally I really like interacting with Xiaomi phones versus Samsung, especially Xiaomi's camera. Document mode is better done vs. Samsung. I like the ability to swipe down with 3 fingers for a screen capture vs Samsung which is more cumbersome and requires 2-3 steps to do so. I am patiently and eagerly awaiting the Xiaomi 13 Ultra global release. That will replace my existing Redmi Note 10 Pro after availability, sooner rather than later. I may do away with the Samsung S22 Ultra as well and maybe replace that with the Honor Magic5. However there is no indication of that model going global.

You can try pixel experience, you will have to unlock the bootloader, you get android 13 with February security patch. Make sure to watch a video on how to do it. It will be the smoothest experience

yup, after I switched to Samsung 2 years ago it hard for me to go back and use chinese smartphone anymore, One UI is really good, stable smooth, fast update and have many useful features that I use a lot like Bixby routine, SamsungDex, Goodlock etc, but I might try Xiaomi smartphone again in future if Samsung increase their price too much
