EACH OTHER & ONE ANOTHER | Reciprocal pronouns

“each other” and “one another” are reciprocal pronouns.
We use them to show that each person in a group of people does something to the others. Each person receives the benefits of the action.
In modern English, "each other" and "one another" have the same meaning and use.
Example context - Mark gave Jane a gift and Jane gave Mark a gift.
In this context, we can say "Mark and Jane gave each other gifts." Or we can say "Mark and Jane gave one another gifts."
(There are many more examples and explanations in the video)
We can also form possessive adjectives “each other's” and “one another's”.
A possessive adjective describes who owns something or who possesses something.
Examples:
Mark and Jane often use each other's phones.
Mark and Jane often use one another's phones.
Common mistakes
"each other" is 2 separate words. "eachother" is wrong.
"each other" and "one another" do NOT have a plural form:
"They helped each others." (wrong)
"They helped one anothers." (wrong)

"Mark and Jane gave gifts *to* each other." is the correct version. You must use the preposition "to" before the indirect object in your example.

Yes, that is correct. We use "each other" and "one another" for reciprocal actions with 2 or more people. All of the examples in this video are with 2 people to keep it simple. But the examples would also be correct for a group of several people.

Oh. Now I'm in shock because our teacher in the Arab world, like my country, Morocco said to thier students we put each other for two persons, and we put one another for three persons or more. i have a question here about the usage of even if and even though. we can only use even if with the combination of present indefinite and future indefinite like first condition of grammar. secondly, we will only use even though with the combination of simple present and simple past. i am going to mention some example for both these pattern for the clarity of my concept. even if she purchase a number of book, she won't be able to learn English. he can/will not reduce his weight even if he works out a lot. (please tell me here we can use can or not).Government will not be able to convince the public about this matter even if they spend a lot of money for this matter. that kid will not obey the order of his parents even if they give him a great deal of advice. even if my boos allows me to do that work i will not do that work. even if he is rich, he will not be honest. even though he is poor, he is honest. even though he was poor, he was honest.even though he didn't have enough money at the time, he helped his friend for his sister's marriage. even though he is so greedy he is not dishonest. etc.. looking forward to your precious opinion. i want to learn a lot from you and i am very thankful to you for your support. i have lately started to watch your videos and they are all absolutely fascinating.
