"Eadle Alley" by Melvin Wine

Melvin Wine (1909-2003) plays "Eadle Alley" and talks about the Allen family where he got the tune.
In 1995 I had an amazing opportunity to be Melvin's teaching assistant for a class at the Augusta Heritage Arts Workshop in Elkins, W.V. Like many old-timers, he couldn't explain what he was doing, so my job was to figure it out on the spot and break the tunes down for the class. It was stressful, but fun, and I learned a lot! After he played "Eadle Alley," he told a hilarious anecdote about the family of musicians that was the source for the tune.

Hi there, I’m one of Melvins great grand daughters. That chair he’s sitting in, I have it and perform using his chair. This photograph tickled me once I noticed what he was sitting on. ❤️
