@@rainersustinkins8377 yeah, what alexa doesn't realize i guess from maybe never seeing palau is they started off 9v9, and katie and tom's tribe literally only lost one member in a surprise double tribal before the merge, to the point there was no merge. stephenie just joined koror. by the end it was 8v2 so 6 people had to sit out every challenge at that point and instead of the normal "you can't sit out the same person back to back" for palau it eventually became "you can't have the same people DO back to back challenges" because there was numerically no possible way to not allow back to back sitouts, so yeah katie sat out pretty much everything once that numbers shift hit, and sat out pretty much half of the challenges before then.

Players that played only once and won tend to feel like they're underrated. Brian Heidik (asshole though he is), Kim Spradlin, Earl, Yul and yes Todd were all fantastic players who are never talked about because they never came back. On the other hand, Sandra, Parv, Hantz, Boston Rob, and Cirie are remembered because they kept coming back. Some of those people never even won in spite of playing multiple times and they're considered to be among the all-time greats over those that played once and won once.
@Bendrix275 жыл бұрын
Take Twila's comments and apply them to Amanda, she just "doesn't have it". Amanda sat at an FTC 2 games in a row and gave 2 terrible performances when she could have won both, she needed to stop being a passive little mouse and actually hold her ground, she was so afraid of conflict when both juries wanted her to challenge them, to show some damn integrity and she didn't do anything but sit there and squeak. What a damn shame.

Nels Danburg I thought she had the overwhelming advantage going into FTC in both China and Micronesia. Todd is not particularly likeable and she won more challenges. She could have swayed the Zhan Hu members who are all up in the air. In Micronesia, she had 3 votes but those votes are already confirmed for her since the 3 jurors hate Parv so much. But for her to lose Eliza’s vote? Amazingly bad.
@nelsdanburg54075 жыл бұрын
@@macrisyjim7903 Yeah, exactly. She was more likable in the eyes of the jury than Todd or Parvati were, and looking back, I think she could've won either time but she just completely shut herself in at both FTC. Hell, if Todd hadn't worked Jean-Robert over as well as he did at the FTC, he then probably would've even voted for Courtney over her, that's how bad Amanda's performance was. Amanda was a great player, but when it came down to selling herself in the end, she just could never quite pull it off. And she did so again in Heroes Vs. Villains when she was on that reward with Danielle and Colby. Amanda gave Danielle back the idol clue she stole from her, the one thing that could've saved her from going next, which is what happened since she gave the clue back. But also because I do think both Todd and Parvati are better players than she is, as they're both easily top five winners of all time in my eyes.

David's speech although not necessary is quite fair. The point of the game is to outwit outplay and outlast. Rob probably played the best game ever. Yes most of his team was willing to obey him but hey, you could put the same person in every season and get different results. He worked with what he got. Rob has played before, although a harsh player he's not a dick, and that got people to like him. He was able to form relationships with each of this team members strong enough to where they didn't even discuss making the big play of booting Rob once they got to the final 5 or 6. I get not everyone likes Boston Rob, but you gotta respect the game he played, he was in control of things for 90% of the game. Everything and everyone was on lock, and the majority did not mind it so he was able to get to the end as one of 2 returning players.

Why does everyone get so upset with people lying? It’s freaking survivor.

Brant Phillips dude right. They woulda did the same thing to get to the final 3. Although the jury speaches are funny, i think some people are so bitter sometimes. give it to the person who deserves it, don’t give it to the other person because you don’t like the person who backstabbed you.. learn to forgive and get over that you didn’t make it.

Because at the end of the day, they're all human. Humans get angry, upset, disappointed, bitter, etc.

Because survivor wasn't about backstabbing in the beginning. A tribe voted the weakest link in the very early seasons, so they could win in future games. They depend on each other to survive in the jungle/island and formed real bonds. Boston Rob was the first person to start using "strategy" and he backstabbed everyone to reach the end. He didn't want to win by challenging the strongest person and taking him out. He just wanted to be a snake and weasel through. In the earlier seasons, you have to prove your worth to the tribe, be strong in challenges and be smart in games (while being honest and true). People used to deliberate together and voted unanimously. The person being voted out would be informed and most times, they accept it resulting in no hard feelings. But Boston Rob took it to another level. In all-stars, it was the first time people got backstabbed HARD, so it was difficult for them to accept it. As the game goes on, it was less about trying to survive in the jungle but more about being a sly, deceiving person. While it makes interesting tv, the whole concept of survivor has changed from what it used to be in Season 1.

Cody is awesome. I named a world of warcraft character after his daughter and with that a contestant: Janu, had to spell it differently tho since that name was already taken :-). also had a a char named Vanuatu. Survivor is just everywhere :-)
