Beautiful country out there. The Wallowa Mountains really are the Swiss Alps of the U.S. Chief Joseph Days Rodeo are a must as well as we hit up a lot of rodeos with the kids. We camp there every year coming from Idaho. Very lucky to live close to the Wallowa's, Elkhorn's and Strawberry Range, Seven Devils and of course the Sawtooth's and massive Salmon River Mountains. Another one I really want to backpack, and one that very little people know about, is the Elkhorn Crest Trail in the Elkhorn Mountains behind Baker City. It's the highest trail in Oregon and stays above 7,000' in it's entirety. The Seven Devils loop and Big Horn Crags in Idaho are also on my list.
