Eagle Lake Bed Fishing Trip

I try to fish Eagle Lake at least once a year during the bass spawn. I really like the natural shoreline and the size of the bass I typically catch.

Nice little getaway those swim bait look good. I love fishing a good swim bait myself. going post spawn that’s gonna be prime time I bet. I need to look into buying some local made baits support the local guy

They do look like nice baits. I’ll have to play around with hooks to find what I like best. I’ve never had as much success with swimbaits as I expect but they usually get a few bites.

I appreciate you sharing those swimbaits! I typically throw them with a 6th sense line thru swimbait head or either a 5/0 or 6/0 screw lock swimbait hook. Let me know when you need some more or if you want any in different colors as those were just what I had in the truck at the time.

Man I played that video of boat cranking a few times. You need to do a compression test just to verify you ain’t melted a piston. But it could be something just fuel related. It did not sound like it was knocking or anything but it’s also very hard to tell just by video. The compression test will be the teller of tales

I’m worried about a piston problem but it really hasn’t been loud and knocking like when I had that happen before. Probably will change the spark plugs and see if that fixes it before I take it in.

I went to La fever today the fishing is on fire I got straight chunk it was only 17 but chunky as heck. I lost count with how many I caught but it was several. Most of them I caught were along that edge there going into the deep between the 2 flats and along the main flat where it goes deep. I lived and died by the Yamamoto and it paid off man. Going to coldbrook soon
