Great stuff Brian... Good information about how you approach the challenge of catching a musky and the quality of your videos is second to none. I always look forward to the next posting. Keep up the good work.

First time commenter here. Watched a few of your vids before, liked what I saw, and kept watching. After this watching this vid, I gotta say.. I much prefer your mood and the general mood of your channel over others'. I'm not bashing channels like Today's, etc.... Learned a lot from them and other channels like them, but I tend to have to take a break from them, from time to time. Keep it up!

@JayByrrd Thank you so much for the comment! I'm glad you like the vibe of the channel. I'm just out here having fun, trying not to take anything too seriously, hopefully be entertaining, and occasionally try to share tips and tricks ☺️

Brian I loved how you handled that huge musky! Your other hand was supporting belly even before musky was out of water! Awesome fish and awesome care while holding! You are a pro and your season is on fire my friend! Cheers! And it was a surreal moment with a musky in hand on “eagle” lake with eagle noises in the background!!! A+

If you keep getting follows on a walk the dog top water bait I would suggest someone in the boat throw a glider. It might be all it takes to turn follows into eaters. Great content once again.
@AnglingAnarchy Жыл бұрын
@gonefishn365 Agreed. I used to do it a lot more, but those Eagle Lake fish never seemed to respond to it in the past. I should give it another try though probably!

@@AnglingAnarchy heck yeah it's worth a shot. Especially with multiple guys in the boat. Catch a giant bud.

I went to Canada for the first time in 2019 (Lake of the Woods). We ended up being there on the tail end of a 2+ week stretch of blue skies and 80+ degrees days. Fish were scattered and seemed to be totally turned off. We fished with guides multiple days and could hardly find anything (including walleye). We literally bought fish at the store, because we couldn't catch enough to eat...I tell everyone this story so they can feel bad for me lol...

@BPockat Yikes! That's a brutal first trip! Hopefully it can only get better from there!

Is that a Huddleston deluxe swimbait made for bass? If so have you caught any Muskie’s on them. I have a ton of them along with other big swim baits for largemouth I was curious about throwing around for Musky.
@AnglingAnarchy Жыл бұрын
@WorkHorseFishing It sure is! Trevor was using it when he caught the first musky in the video by letting it sink to the bottom. Musky picked it right up!

Why do you measure every 40”+ fish? Don’t see the need to do that, personally I only measure a fish I feel is 50+.
@AnglingAnarchy Жыл бұрын
@tomreilly9295 Very valid question to which I feel I have a very valid answer. For me personally, I log my fish in the Muskies Inc. Lunge Log, which, amongst other things, has and will continue to be used by researchers to study muskies in specific lakes, regions, etc. That is data that should be accurate if it is to be logged, so I do my best to get an accurate measurement. I myself work as a chemist and know the value of true and accurate data. As for Trevor, he has only caught a handful of muskies and is not only curious about the length of the fish he is catching, but I feel measuring those low to mid 40" fish will help him out when he has to handle a truly large 48"+ fish. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for watching!
@Mileyz8899 Жыл бұрын
Why do you measure 50 inch fish. Why? Just don't measure em at all. You Musky people are all so silly. I'm embarrassed I'm even involved with the musky crowd sometimes. Babies. Nothing wrong or unsafe about measuring a fish. Unless Mr entitled here catches his 50 then he needs to measure it though right.

its to bad you guys don't have a lot of options for large swimbaits, those trout shaped Bass lures made for California and Florida Bass have little to stand up against compared to the brands like savage gear or Fox Rage , the selection of colors and profiles is so very boring.
