I have the same as you. I tear up when I eat, my eye still droop,I I hate to take pictures cause it shows one eye wide open the other closed and when I press my lips it draws my eye closed. It's been about 7 years now. I always wondered if I was the only one with this long term outcome. Thank for sharing, mine is on my right side.

It was a tough year compared to others we have had in the past. I love your videos and the guests you have on. I am sure with Rich in the boat, it was not a dull day talking muskies and baits and lakes.

I really like this idea. Let us know how it holds up.
@approachingtarget.450310 күн бұрын
Ok...Brian. With this experience, what would you say contributed to the lack of bites? Weather,color,action, pressure, or use of sonar? Interested parties are asking.
@AnglingAnarchy10 күн бұрын
@approachingtarget.4503 I think the biggest factor would be time year. I know some very well-respected musky fishing veterans, Spence Petros being one of them, that avoid Eagle that time of year that we typically take our late summer trip. We have had, for the most part, good luck on this trip. But lately, it seems to be tipping to the "not so productive" side of the ledger. If you hit it right, it's great. If the timing is off, you get a trip like this one.

I feel your pain, buddy. I have never had so many fish come in, see the boat and veer off without even getting a chance to get them in an 8 as I have this year.

Good video! Glad you warned us about the cold and ice; good to have some idea of what we’re getting into before launching!😜. One more positive comment: you can set those boards to release at the main and slide down the line to stop at a barrel swivel above the leader. Like that, you can ignore the board and just net the fish.

Canadian muskies are just as tough to catch as any other. When 'Mr Eagle' Skaife has a tough week up here, you know the fishing is tough. Nothing but respect for the drive you have on that lake!
@philipmclaughlin963622 күн бұрын
These are great tips. I normally fly to Canada. My cousin lives in British Columbia and I live in New York. At the airport immigration I just scan my passport and flight information QR code at a kiosk and they have random questions on a screen. I'm never questioned or confronted by a person.

Just throwing this out there for a video idea… go over your eagle lake chart and show us where you like to fish and why😏😏 maybe show some waypoints! But serious explain what makes you fish weeds in late summer and deeper rocks and what makes you decide on either one if that makes sense

Don't feel bad. I've had the muskies flip me the middle fin in Canada more often than not. 😢 I'm stealing that line, flipped the middle fin. 😂😂😂

@thelonesomefisherman7425 I did see that comment, and i appreciate it very much! These darn fish are going to be the death of me some day! (Or at the very least, drive me absolutely crazy!)
@thelonesomefisherman742522 күн бұрын
@AnglingAnarchy I thought that tidbit of information about spawning twice fit nicely with your discussion about finding early season fish out on the reefs, having spawning scars. Yeah... don't feel to bad. You're not the first, nor will you be the last person that muskies flip the middle fin to and drive completely bonkers.

I think if they make such a big issue with ancient dui convictions for Americans ..the usa immigigration should not be so lenient to canadian citizens. Its called fair play . Watch the canadian economy collapse when 25 percent tarriffs are put on them 😂😂. There is nothing canada has that i cant find in maine vermont new Hampshire or new york except overpriced canadian cities and taxes .

That was cool to watch. I don't musky fish so , dumb question. If you stopped after that many figure 8's, might that provoke a strike? Or loose interest?
@AnglingAnarchyАй бұрын
@tiredofit1429 Typically, if you just stop it, they tend to become disinterested in the bait. It's definitely a cat and mouse game and playing keep away is usually the way to go!
