Enjoying the video. I have done some of the northern Arkansas trails, but have wanted to do this one. I think I have decided to do this over the Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks. Also, I'll be following your PCT journey in 22. I'm all geared up for a 2023 thru hike of the PCT.

The bathrooms at Albert Pike are flush toilets with sinks and plumbing, so they have to close them and shut off the water to winterize it when there is a chance of overnight freezing. Winding Stair trailhead and Little Missouri Falls trailhead have pit toilets, which are open all year because they don't have plumbing. They are stinky pit toilets, but it's still a decent alternative to squatting in the woods.

Good, ever heard of LOVit? Lake Ouachita Vista Trail? Look into it. Might be a good training hike to keep in shape for PCT

ULA makes rock solid packs. I have the Circuit and the smaller OHM. Comfortable, durable and light weight enough. Usable roomy waist belt pouches. Glad you liked it.

Forgot to ask did you use the brain and all of the compression straps on your exos? I have the same pack and still testing it out. With 4 days foods and full pack I may be pushing 30 pounds which I heard is the absolute limit for the back. Nice seeing you on the trail again.

I took the brain off my pack and I'd recommend not using it, will save weight and you don't need it.

Thanks Goob! I want to do this trail soon and I’ve been nervous about the many river crossings. It isn’t bad at all when the levels are that low. I’ve also been eyeing the ULA Circuit. Can’t wait to hear how you like it.

Good to see out on the Eagle Rock Loop. Enjoy your videos on the AT. Try the Ouachita Trail and the Ozark Highlands Trail for some real testing.

Dang how heavy is your buddies pack?
@goobsadventures2 жыл бұрын
It looks bulky but wasn't any more than 30 pounds.

Glad to see you’re back out very good keep those legs in shape :-) on a separate note on the AT, when you pay for shuttles or when you paid for anything was it cash or credit card and if cash how much do you suggest Carrie at any one time?
@goobsadventures2 жыл бұрын
I paid in cash for the shuttles and I'd recommend to carry $200 cash, shouldn't need to carry any more than that.

@@goobsadventures thank you so much sounds very reasonable. Just wasn’t sure and this makes total sense I didn’t know if I needed to carry 1000 or so or 100 but 200 does make good round cents and there’s plenty of ATMs I’m sure I’ll be stopping in towns occasionally planning on doing a number of drop boxes along the way so I could live in my town does it if I desire. Really enjoyed following you and you did help me out a lot
