@XmojotronX I imagine they would use a video camera, perhaps even more than one video camera. Video cameras are kinda like normal cameras but instead of just taking one picture, they take a bunch of pictures really fast and you can watch this series of pictures as a video. Some video cameras can even record sound that accompanies the series of pictures. Pretty neat, huh?

@AyeYirMa I agree; perhaps biology at the molecular level is still learning about the processes. However, geology and fossil evidence only proved that these animals existed and died "suddenly" buried by mud and sediments. Some of them were trapped as they were running. Hum I believe a slow death would only corrupt the bodies, and it would become dust. However, a rapid death due to mud slides, as seen in the layers of sediments where these are found only prove a catastrophe happened.
