Preening - grooming activity to keep the feathers in top shape and to waterproof the feathers by distributing preen oil from the Uropygial Gland located at the base of the tail.
Feaking: Rubbing beak on branches, rocks or other hard surfaces for cleaning or maintaining beak shape, often done after eating.
Bald Eagles have Reversed Sexual Dimorphism: female is larger than male. Female is more dominant & largely determines nest dynamics: she is the brooder, he is the food provider/territory patroller.

Unlike dogs, cats and Turkey Vultures, eagles do not possess a very developed sense of smell. Prey and unhatched eggs likely do not emit much odor in this cool and arid climate.

Yes - but usually not this frequently in early Spring. They've used this nest since 2018, I think.
