My views align the most with the traditionalist view. I'm a mythic literalist (to a large extent anyway, I do interpret certain myths differently than how they are told, but I believe they all truly happened in some form) and I believe, like you, that the Gods and Goddesses are above us and are our creators (and the creators of the universe). My beliefs can't be crammed into a single comment haha but I think its cool how different Pagans and Polytheists see the divine. I may not agree or even understand some of the differing views, but to me it makes our community richer for its diversity of thought. As long as we respect one another's rights to believe what we wish, and don't demean those we disagree with, our differences can only be a strength in my opinion.

The friends and guides part I do agree with, though I also acknowledge the Gods are 'higher' or above me and don't see myself as their equal. I believe they care for us all and listen like a friend would and help and guide us.
