Did you know the guys who did, "I Wonder What She's Doin' Tonight," and, "I'm Gonna Blow You A Kiss In The Wind," wrote the Days theme, as well? They also wrote for other groups. Love them. I remember my mom ironing and watching Days.

I love the 2000's intro to Days of Our Lives. The slowly rising sun/light, coupled with the gorgeous twinkle-like music, the camera pulling back to reveal the hourglass... iconic. The only Daytime intro that rivals my love for it would be General Hospital's "Faces of the Heart" intro that lasted eleven years (1993-2004).

I always loved the GH theme with the flashing lights. Like when something big would happen and the light would flash in their face. I always remembered the "you take me away to another world" song when I was a kid. Days of our lives never changes much. I love that.

My grandma always watched GH and AMC, it would always be on right when I got home from school and I hated it because I wanted to watch cartoons. I love that I have this memory and miss her so much. I often listen to the intros for the nostalgia.

Back in mid 90s I used to turn the tv on just to hear the theme for The young and the Restless and then.. not watch it. The one played at #7 here, wich should have been 1st place by the way. But the best for me is.. from a Mexican soap opera from 1993 called Corazon Salvaje. The non singing version. Look it up under Corazon Salvaje 93 - Entrada Instrumental, you will love it. The story and acting of the two main characters is also amazing.

I only know about "Another World" because Rue McClanahan was a cast member of the show in the 1970's. Rue portrayed Caroline Johnson; the cook for Patricia and John Randolph as the nanny to their infant twins Marian and Michael Randolph. Rue described Caroline in her 2007 autobiography "My First Five Husbands... and the Ones who Got Away" as "The best nanny in all Christendom; and one Hell of a great cook to boot."

DAYS should be #1 it's the only theme never really to have changed. Granted, the visuals of the hourglass might have changed, but it's always been the same theme, with Macdonald Carey's voice. The only time it changed significantly was during the Melaswen storyline...CLASSIC!!!

What i liked was the complier had an All My Children promo before revealing the #! theme in this video - and the promo featured Michael Nader (may he RIP) - also portrayed the original Dynasty's dashing Dex Dexter and in the late 1970's Kevin Thompson on As the World Turns.

Most of the themes were either the original composition, or an updated version. Multiple themes from General Hospital(who just tweaked its composition),All My Children, Another World, One Life to Live, and Guiding Light as if they couldn't find a theme and stick to it General Hospital's contribution was also an updated version of their iconic theme, but the original theme was higher up on the list, but the in-between version was higher. Young and the Restless theme was known as something else before it was known as Young and the Restless. Another World's theme song was on the charts.

I forgot the Passions theme song had a second version. I think that version was more close to the 'release' version. I also love the first version and the closing theme.
