Bald Eagles were on the Endangered Species List, until around 1991. They've made quite a comeback. Saw one swoop down and grab a fish right out of a lake Wild Kingdom style, in Alabama in 1990, where they hadn't been seen since the 1950's. No one believed me, but everyone wanted to know where they could get, whatever I was drinking! Not long after, other people began seeing them, Their "Bald" (white) head makes them unmistakable. They looked much larger to me, than I thought, that they would.

Florida man Ken Welch was captured by Ft. Meyers deputy Francis Crincklfink after attempting to rob a bank with an alligator. After passing a note to the bank teller that read "give me the money or she'll BLOW" the teller refused and stated that she was calling the police. Welch then through the alligator at the bullet proof window then with a surprised look quickly fled the scene. Upon questioning Welch stated that he knew he couldn't blow up the bank with an alligator however his uncle had told him earlier that day that an alligators skin is bullet proof and being that the glass bank window was bulletproof, throwing the gator into the glass would cancel each other out. The gator was captured by Florida State Wildlife authorities and released back into the wild. Welsh is pending court trial however has an extensive record of attempting to hold up 7-11's and also a Dairy Queen with a Nintendo duck hunt gun while wearing a Smurfette Halloween costume.

The Elephant Bird, Vorombe Titan, reached weights of 730 kg (1,600 lb) and stood 3 m (9.8 ft) tall, making it the world's largest and heaviest bird, slightly larger than the much older Dromornis stirtoni. Other members of the family were also very large, exhibiting the phenomenon of island gigantism. Elephant birds have been extinct since at least the 17th century.

The bald eagle is as good of a choice to be our national animal as any. Joe said they're emotionless ruthless beasts. Every animal is emotionless, indifferent beasts that only operate on instinct. There's never any malice involved in the behavior of any animal. The bald eagle is cool because they're vicious predators like any carnivious animal, but they have the ability to fly. In our strange human thought process, the ability to fly has always represented a level of freedom that flightless animals don't share. Rogan knows all of this to be true, this was strange coming from him. I guess he was just being silly, joking around with his friend.
