The Australian bird you talking about is called a Cassowary. It's one of the most dinosaur birds out there. It has like a horn on its head which is left over from prehistoric times, has massive talons on its feet. It's been known to decapitate people with its claws. It's classified as the most dangerous bird in the world. It's actually closely related to a velociraptor. kzbin.info/www/bejne/onOwaHR_Zd6jbZo

There is one bird, that lays it's egg in other bird species nest. Apparently the mother bird isn't aware of the stranger and feeds it like it was one of it's own. The chick then proceeds to kill the "siblings" until it's the only one left.
