Eagles - Doolin Dalton (Meet The Lady)

The song by the Eagles is about the Doolin-Dalton gang of the old wild west. It first appeared in their 1973 concept album Desperado. The song never made it to the top but it is one of my all-time favorites.
This music video feature clips / scenes from the western film "The Quick and the Dead." The mv was blocked in March 2012 when it was first published. But somehow the copyright claim was later released in January 2013.
Pitching the character of a lady gunfighter to Doolin-Dalton is a bit of a stretch. But these duels and the cinematography, they are good. The movie, despite its star power, never made it to the top in 1995.

Those lyrics have so much pain and deepness in it. When I hear the song I remembered better days and old friends. A school friend has die in the age of 23 few days ago, that feels hard. But better days are coming.

Il gruppo nacque nel 1971 per opera dei fondatori Glenn Frey (chitarra) e Don Henley (batteria), già membri della band di supporto di Linda Ronstadt, con l'aggiunta di Bernie Leadon (chitarra, banjo e mandolino) e Randy Meisner (basso). Con questa formazione il gruppo pubblicò nel 1972 il primo album, Eagles. Il lavoro, sorretto da alcune hit di successo come Take it Easy e Witchy Woman, fece conoscere la band a tutta l'impresa discografica dell'epoca; in breve tempo, gli Eagles diventarono il punto di riferimento della musica della west coast di quel periodo alla stregua di un'altra band dell'epoca, i Poco.
