It's impossible to fix Eagles with the personnel they have in place. Next year will even be a challenge, because they'll be changing quite a bit around. If I were managing this team right now I'd get everyone together as quickly as possible to explain the strategy going forward for the Bucs. I'd draw up a couple schemes on defense and insert players to follow them. No mixing around with three different directives, and past failings. Keep rushers in place, and no dropping back into coverage. Their only job is to get to the QB and stuff runs. I'd keep coverage close in the secondary working gaps with direct responsibility of player staying on assignment. Let safeties be safeties playing routine coverages for better or worse. Tackling and swarming is all I'd coach for the next few days with a play hard or go home attitude. On the offensive side it would be imperative to get protection up front, have outlets for blitzes, and stay away from outlets to the sidelines or meaningless QB draws. Balance run plays with pass. Most important thing. Crossing patterns with the tight end and WR's and outlets to the RB. I would coach that everyone is getting involved on the offense. This could all fail, but at least go down swinging. Coaches need to make game day smart calls as best as they can, and above all else, get the locker room back.

Tampa Bay has been mostly playing well on run-defense throughout the season but only have had two formidable pass-rushers (NT#50 Vita Vea and SLB#7 Shaq Barrett), and a truly solid defense needs three formidable pass-rushers, not just two. Tampa Bay may have found their 3rd formidable pass-rushers in WLB#0 Yaya Diaby. Still, it is tough to play well on defense when two of the three 1st-string Defensive Linemen (DEs#90 Logan Hall and #94 Calijah Kancey) are useless. Tampa Bay's defensive secondary is so half-&-half, the great FS#31 Antione Winfield is as great a Center Fielder as there is in the entire NFL right now and CB#35 Jamel Dean is solid enough. But CB#24 Carlton Davis and SS#23 Ryan Neal (both who have had very good to great NFL seasons in the past) are both having throw-away seasons this season.
