@@EagleSciFiModeler Eh, I'll always be partial to the D7/K'tinga class. The Klingon Bird of Prey is definitely the motion picture era definitive Klingon ship if only because they used it more than any other villain ship! 3, 4, 5, 6, Generations... Five films before it was retired to TV appearances-only!

TY for sharing. After 18 months of modeling, I 'm ready to light a model. Any advice as to which ship to light for a first time? I'm familiar with many genres of sci-fi.

I would just start simple like with engine lights.. running a few LEDs to a switch and power source. prewired LEDs with resisters are a good way to start and run easily off a 9v battery.

I filled them in with canopy glue.

I'm really confused trying to find this kit. All AMT Bird Of Preys on Ebay says they are 1/650 scale or no scale specified at all. The Polar Light one is 1/1000. Still alot of KZbinr's says this AMT kit is 1/350. Does it really say so anywhere on the pack or building sheet. Maybe people simply taking for granted it's 1/350? The older AMT kit says 1/650.

The problem is in the shows there was no consistency with it's size...so it really just depends.

@@EagleSciFiModeler Ok, but are all the AMT kits same size at least, even if they have different box art? I can not find the 50th anniversary edition or the one from 2010 box art, only earlier box arts. However if it's the same size and kit on the boxes then that is OK with me. The box art is not that important to me. Only the model and scale matters.

@@Lord_Funk there basically all the same...the newer kits give different options for the wing position and landing gear.

@@EagleSciFiModeler Also that the kit has the 3 options of wing positions. I have no idea if older kits have that too or if not, then when that was added in the kit? It's all a bit confusing. Oh you just wrote about that too in a reply. lol Any idea which kits have that options and which does not? I really want to build one in landed position diorama and one in another position.

This model needs to be retooled and or made larger! Parts are ill fitting. Amd its difficult to light up properly, little room for wiring. And the wing modes are not moveable!
