The main thing I took away from watching the Bills vs Ravens game last night was how Monken utilized Lamar and Derrick Henry. I kept saying to myself "Why can’t the Eagles do the same thing for Hurts and Saquon?" Why can’t Jalen get some of those quick short passes like Baker did yesterday? There was no preparation and it showed. This "bend but don’t break" philosophy is outdated. There were no adjustments or pressure (and so many missed tackles). Clearly analytics did not help them in their game planning/decision making against the Bucs. And look at Brian Johnson now (who everyone thought was the problem last season) with the Washington Commanders. He’s the assistant head coach/offensive pass game coordinator. He wasn’t the problem.

Whether this guy is calling the plays or not, if we have to question that why is he even a head coach? He's basically a puppet. A glorified cheerleader with a headset. A head coach should be able to know x's and O's. He should be the main vocal point of either your offense or defense depending what type of coach he is, but mainly the preparation of the team. In order to implement a system that you can build on to you need repetition. You can't get that with different coordinators every year. It's a revolving door. Laurie has to get a coach that knows football. Ever since chip kelly he's lost that trust. That's on him. Make the right hire. I like nick. I think he's a decent human being, but he isn't an NFL head coach. How can you expect a team to take accountability when we have a coach that doesn't even have enough responsibility to be held accountable? strap in boys @ girls this is going to be a really bad year . even if aj makes it back and we make the playoffs .... no faith in nick to find fundamentals in the bye week . he will be out coached ,3 steps behind , and a front office yes man !!! that gets paid and says yeah i'll run what you guys want . scheme lol yeah everygame looks the same yet we never try to blitz more ever . i'm with brian dawkins all the way . not eagles football anymore sorry guys !!!!!
