@@dannysmith112 showing emotion is always okay, I grew up in the mindframe where I was taught never to cry. The first time the mother of my children saw me cry was in the hospital when I first held our first child and I was absolute water works. I was so happy, so scared, so unsure what to do. Men should be able to cry without stigma

This is a man. This is what a man can be. You can be a mountain and beast in battle, violent when needed but also emotionally open and vulnerable. This should be the standard. Hard work, toil, constant trail and it will mean success. What a hero he is. What an inspiration to all. Go well Jason. You make the world a better place.

Not my dad who was a chain smoker, who brought me to each game , but that blue jersey , and my 1st game was in the same blue jersey. I just could not get number #19 from another young kid. When you see a adult playing and know it's there job, you know what you want to do. But now i'm healthy 67 yrs old in another sport . When you love something and its your whole life , then to retire in something you love , yes , its a loss, of self .I played at a high level, still love the game , retired from a job 35yrs, did I love it ? I live in Michigan and have been a die-hard Lions fan for uncountable years, and started watching Kansas City because of Mahomes, then added Philadelphia because of Jason. These have been my three favorite teams now for several years. It has been a great pleasure to watch Jason play with such passion, professionalism, love of the game. Also a joy to see him off the field with his acts of volunteerism, interactions with his mother, brother and wife and kids. I know this was a VERY difficult decision for you Jason to retire, but your decision is a good one. You determined it's time. You're going out still playing great ball, in fairly good health with perhaps a few bumps yet to mend. Maintaining your health is an important consideration. Your girls are still young and will benefit greatly from your added love and attention. I'm sure Kylie would also like to see more of you. You'll find something to do career wise that will make you happy and give you satisfaction, although different from the feeling you got while playing football. That's okay not everything in life gives us the same highs. Enjoy your retirement-we all look forward to seeing what you do next and hearing more podcasts! Retire his number !!

Standing 4ft 11inches and I00 pounds I joined the Navy on Mar 3rd 1988. With Only a high school diploma and a strong sense of patriotism I outperformed, took more risk, volunteered for more projects, went places and did things that scared others. And challenged male Marines in the gym and on the shooting range. At least you got to retire on your own terms, imagine your President( Obama) at the time telling every service member with 20 years or more that they have to retire. My goal was 30 years and another higher rank. With time you will move on and the memories will also fade in the back ground. But this time will always be special. Enjoy the rest of your life and find something you love just as much or close to it.

I also cried from the beginning of his speech.. and I am still crying afterwards. I'm a Eagles fan that loved to see him lay. Now watching them play will be different now. Knowing that one of te greatest centers will not be playing.

I'm always gonna love the big Ole bear. Seeing him being emotional and open is inspiring for all the men out there. It's okay to be emotional especially when you love something as much as he does. Thank you Jason for making me a proud eagles fan and fly high forever

As a Giants fan, I have to say it's a relief we won't have to face him anymore. But it's a big loss for the NFL as a whole, because he is an absolute class act. A real model professional that so many can learn from. And I'll sure miss watching him even when he'd be destroying my Giants! Hope he enjoys his retirement and new endeavours with a happy healthy family.

I’m so grateful to have had the honor of watching Jason Kelce play football. I am born and raised in Kansas City and a definite diehard Chiefs fan!! I will always remember the seasons I became a Kelce Family fan and watching the Kelce Bowl!! Thank you for all you contributed on and off the field and for doing the documentary that allowed us to see your greatness on and off the field and your love for family and football!! I know from experience that it’s hard to retire from a career that you love, but I trust and believe you will do so much more to benefit your family, football, your city, and the world!! ❤
