Yes, it absolutely is. LV is too expensive for me. But I find my Luxury in Michael Kors. Growing up, mom paying more more $20 for a purse or handbag was FAR out of the question. Let alone the $200-$300 MK handbags I have today. I even buy my 2 year old daughter the MK brand in shoes, clothes and coats. But again, I work hard for my money and I cam afford to do so. It is a state of mind. But that state is had because one knows what it took to earn that dollar, so they spend it according.

As much as I loved my LV bags a few years ago, I have to admit that with age came the wisdom of knowing there are SOOOO many more important, intelligent, practical, useful, logical, and enjoyable things to spend that kind of money on. My bags burned up along with everything else but the clothes on my back in a house fire exactly 5 years ago today. Had a nice life one minute, literally homeless and having to move into my camper the next. Nothing like waking up the next morning confused and realizing it wasn't a nightmare, that you're really living in your camper wearing somebody else's clothes and don't even have a toothbrush to call your own to put what's really important into and of true value into perspective. I myself, along with my LV bags and everything else, was also gone forever after that night...reduced to mere ash. I'm not who I used to be. That fire was only the beginning of a series of horrible events in my life and somehow, even when I didn't even want to, I managed to live life and get up off the ground again. I never ever thought I'd ever say this but I am now actually grateful for that 4 straight years of total heartache, struggle, uncertainty, and hell. I learned what being devastated really was, I learned to lose, I learned what being hungry felt like, experienced betrayal at my lowest, found out I had no body ever really on my side all along. I experienced being poor, having my utilities cut off, and the utter hopelessness that can envelope any one of us at any time with no notice. I was on top in life and then I hit the ground hard. I'm glad. I'm stronger, smarter, tougher, and more at peace than ever before because now I have the security of knowing I can handle whatever comes in the future. I'm content and grateful for everyyything, find joy in simplicity. I know without a doubt what the most remarkable, valuable, and important things in life are and I can tell ya this: it ain't no damn bag or suitcase.

My former boss' sister worked at Louis. She'd ring people up while simultaneously be buying from the employee only shop because if you didn't buy what you liked right then and there, at a ridiculous discounted price, someone else would snatch it up. some people will do anything to get attention, it's crazy, i'm french and the lady is pronouncing his name perfectly, and i repeat perfectly. Now some people in France may pronounce it "Vutton" or "Vitton" because they are too lazy to pronounce that "ui" diphtong, it takes a little bit of mouth gymnastic to pronounce that name perfectly, even for a french person, that's why some crazy people like this Houssam think that their way pronouncing someone else name it's the norm.

I know they want to be exclusive and shit but here’s an idea... All the products that aren’t sold are put on sale and the profits are given to charity. It would seem more like a campaign instead of a excuse to not burn and shred the rest of the items🤔
@yeahnoway1116 жыл бұрын
Then no one would buy them for the actual price
@AWG593 жыл бұрын
I know your comment was from 3 years ago, but they want their products to stay exclusive. Hence why they don’t discount their items. This is their way of keeping tabs on how much of a product is out on the market. Also, the other big reason is because they get to write off the destroyed merchandise as a loss for their taxes. Kinda like for example, on Amazon, it’s actually cheaper for them to trash returns rather then restock it. Same with LV. They lose less money by writing it off. Personally, if it were me, it would make more sense (especially considering the price point) that everything just be made to order. That way there is no waste. Everything is only made when you buy it. That’s how you really control your merchandise.

Louis Vuitton's quality has truly slipped since I 1st vegan collecting their products, over 30 years ago. I have noticed a marked change in the quality of construction details in recent years. As an example, I bought an expensive handbag from LV at their flagship 5th Avenue location, in NY, NY at a price of several thousand dollars, only to have the 'D ring' where my keys were to clip to the inside of the bag, rip aeay at the seam, within one week of purchasing this item. Stunned, I returned to the flagship NYC location, to be told it would cost me an additional $75 to have LV repair the item's flawed workmanship! This, despite verifying by my receipt date the item had been purchased within one week of the flaw presenting itself. I will never buy coated cotton canvas for thousands of dollars, ever again. Additionally, the attitude was one of rudeness and skepticism. I was stunned. SMH.

The title should be "15 things you might not know" or "15 things you might not have known" rather than the current title since someone, such as myself, might have known a few things about several of the topic-subjects discussed. The reason the title should change is because it makes you look presumptuous which doesn't make you look good after it is discovered that the receiver did know a few facts of the topic-subject for which ultimately affects your reputation for credibility.
