I think that the only things that could work for rich people in a truly unexpected scenario are what can be used without the cooperation of others. Many things that you have mentioned can only be used with great anticipation, such as private jets to New Zealand: a personal army or a private jet cannot work if you are stuck in a nuclear war in NYC. Even a bunker in NYC could be useless, but a very good one in a small, relatively remote town of USA could be life-saving. At then end, what can be useful depends on different scenarios: Bitcoins would be useless is Internet infrastructure was destroyed (are they truly a protection for inflation?). At the end, only committed and rich people can prepare for these hazards, most people are exposed not only to common illnesses but also to physical hazards, like natural disasters or crime.

Getting on a yacht, or even a cruise liner would be suicidal. Where are you going to get fuel for the yacht after you are just about to run out, as those things are very thirsty. How is one supposed to arrange refuelling when most of the yachts in a marina would have dried up the tank. Also, nukes will be used off shore to create tidal waves towards cities. And those waves, if you're unlucky enough, might just overcome your vessel. And underground bunkers...what if a bunker has a direct hit? A nuke can leave an impact hole 90 to 150 feet deep. That is not going to hold the bunker's superstructure in place. And as for those billionaire islands, you think the Chinese and Russians haven't got those island coordinates and plenty of warheads to spare? Yea don't worry, we safe.🤔

I do not agree with the statements about a large yacht being a refuge during a world war. You might be able to stay at sea for a month or two if you have the maximum amount of food, fuel, etc., and just a few passengers. However, a large yacht requires a crew of dozens of people, who all need food, water, and medical care. If a world war erupts, what will you do if you can no longer dock and get the supplies you've run out of? Also, large yachts require a lot of maintenance and repairs, so what will you do for spare parts, a dry dock, or large machines when you need them to do work? You are especially vulnerable if a world war destroys the infrastructure on shore that you need to keep your yacht running. About the best scenario I could see is a yacht could let you survive a "scare" that a world war will occur, but actually doesn't get that far, and then things return to normal.

Im cbrn specialist and also pandemic specialist in military (just retired recently) my husband was also military and my oldest son is serving overseas. All of us have been in war zones and trained in many areas. I can design bunkers and the air systems and such. We do well for ourselves and financially independent but not as rich as these your speaking of (our family was in previous generations) we have done all the things we can and mentally and physically prepared. You have to be super careful not to tell or show anything to anyone. It will be hard to trust anyone and families and friends will turn on each other especially in high stress times. People will have to quickly adjust to new lifestyle and what it means like rations for ex. Also in many events none of these things on list will matter. No flights allowed in airspace and other things that will affect even the richest. Time is not our friend rn and also money as things go up with demand and less availability or takes longer to build now. Only so much you can force with money and connections.

Wars are highly profitable from governments and prime ministers. Have you noticed that we tend to have wars at the times when the economy is the worst? For example, during the great depression, we had no money whatsoever from the stock market crash for a whole decade, but magically we had money for World War II then after the 1950s, the economy bloomed there, not long after that another war happened and look at today. Interesting topic... I know seven "billionaires" in the US and not one has made elaborate plans for survival of a limited or all out nuclear conflict. I helped more than one friend prepare as best they could under Y2K decades ago. This was very concerning as we both had very ill family members. We came to the conclusion that there was no reasonable way to shield anyone in the Northern Hemisphere from complete collapse. The biggest issue was obvious, massive, interlocking interdependencies tied to complex supply chains, just in time delivery, and a worrisome currency/banking system. People may be able to forestall personal deprivation for a time, perhaps six months to a year if they have left a conflict area. After that, forget it! If you expect to depart in private jets, after an EMP, forget that one too! Navigation, fuel and flight control systems depend heavily on IC chips that would not likely operate afterwards. By the way, forget New Zealand and Australia. Both countries' governments were among the most abusive and horrendous during the Covid disaster. Without firearms for self protection there is no future there either! The point I would like to make is there is no true solution in attempting to escape a large scale nuclear conflict with the goal of becoming established elsewhere. Never forget the human factors involved. As a foreigner in another land, you would be subject to all sorts of potential problems.

Love .. but telling people to GET RICH is a tad disgraceful..It perpetuates the idea that man is a slave to money (which sadly for many is true but we want to shift away from this, change..).. also , we know getting rich in many cases involved exploitative practices , the rich influence policy that favors them etc all which contribute to inequality, injustice, poverty .. if you’re from a poor family likely you’ll be poor because you don’t have access to quality education (unless you’re in a country where education is free), you don’t have the right connections, or the right setup to continue education etc It depends majorly in what country you are.. So many factors out of one’s control and unless you’re somewhat of a genius, a master of your craft (still getting rich is not guaranteed) or a scoundrel, as a poor young individual (generally speaking) getting rich is quite unlikely.. There are rich people I respect and admire greatly and who have been giving back to the community tremendously so don’t think that I have an aversion to the rich but what I’m saying is that we need to push towards promoting a holistic perspective that goes beyond wealth accumulation, removing systemic barriers to address injustice, inequality, poverty.. once these are solved a lot of the worlds issues will disappear ..

Even though Switzerland is in Europe this geographical negative is offset by the fact that its is way better prepared than New Zealand switzerland has no army it is an army , already all residents have access to a nuclear bunker all citizens are already issued iodine pill against radiation sickness you have the right to a firearm and all males are required to undertake military service , protected by mountains neutrality and massive financial reserves it’s a toss up between Switzerland and New Zealand but I think Switzerland wins 🇨🇭

That Private security is going to complete ghost you in a global emergency. They don’t need your money. That yacht is great until it runs out of gas and there’s absolutely no way to get more. First thing to hit will be an EMT. Almost none of this stuff will help them unless they’re already in a good position.

@@ElizabethMBoyd They said “yachts” but sailboats aren’t really any better. Just to start, where will the boat be when the missiles start flying? If it’s near any port or city, it will be destroyed. Where is the crew? There aren’t many sailboats that are going to be able to stay at sea for long. Even if it doesn’t need gas, it still has lots of needs and the bigger the boat, tend bigger the crew and the more resources it will use. How will crew stay on deck to work? Will the air be safe? Will the seas be safe? Where will water come from without fuels on board? Food? It’s simply not a feasible idea. IF it’s not completely wiped out, maybe it can buy you a few days. But, you’re not living on it for long.
