Correction , He was Not Born in New York he was born on board a ship flying an American flag which gave him American Citizenship which he made full use of it for himself .

i don't think it was Dev, that asked the volunteers to dump arms i think it was Aiken who did this, although Dev agreed with this dumping of arms, and his great speech Legion of the Rearguard. I AM NOT A FAN OF DEV, i think Dev only cared about Dev.....when Churchill offered a united Ireland during WW2, Dev wouldn't even consider it, i bet if it was Michael Collins, he would have been over to 10 downing street to check it out

Churchill had no right to offer any part of Ireland, it wasn’t his to offer. In any case, the Unionist people hadn’t agreed to it.
