Today we tackle a DIY backyard project at our Toronto triplex. It's only 500 sq-ft but with our daughter and our niece set to grow up here we wanted to make it a fun space for everyone! PLUS, we all know the benefits of cold/hot therapy for everyone so we took the plunge and got ourselves a wellness setup. What else would you like to see in your own backyard?!

Bought my van and started converting but diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on April 18th of this year. I think it was your first video made after your baby girl was born. Where are you? Discussed the importance of using positive language and setting the ground rules for everyone to keep a positive vibe. I’ve now use liquid sunshine to replace some of the other terms for you know what. Your videos on this topic truly inspired me to change my mindset and reframe this phase of my life. For a brief moment, I was feeling hopeless, but now I get chemo every Friday sleep in on Saturdays and take the train from Seattle back to my van as fast as I can to work on it during, the times that I feel good. I’m glad you’re making more videos because the two of you inspired me to get my van in the first place, your videos inspired me last month for this next part of my life journey and I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing you in a van again once I get into my van and drive off into the sunset, bald head, and everything. Love you all.

I went through more trauma than anyone should ever have to endure. I watched you guys for years cuz I had to research living in my vehicle. I was kidnapped assaulted and left homeless by corrupt police in lethbridge Alberta on May 14, 2020. I was 60 with ill health and with the covid lockdowns no justice for this sweet old lady. I've had very good councellors. I live vicariously through your amazing love you share on your videos. Thank you so much for sharing and giving me hope. ❤

Enjoying my coffee while hubby gets our toddler down for a nap. Your videos are like spending time with a friend. The love you all share is present in every video. Seeing baby Frankie makes me miss the baby phase. It goes soooooo fast and before you know it, you'll have a sassy two-year-old. There are challenges and beauty in every phase. I might not love the tantrums, but my kid also said, "I love you mommy" without prompting last night. Sending all of the positive healing vibes your way as well. I am also a young mom with BC. I wouldn't have chosen this path for myself, but through it, I have learned to find greater appreciation in the every day joys.

First of Bec you are a rockstar mom and emit such positivity after your cancer ordeal. You are truly an inspiration. Just a few tips from a landscape designer. I would suggest staining your wood fencing.. Hanging fern baskets from your porch and garage. More colorful plants surrounding the perimeter of the yard. Cute patio furniture with bright pillows to match the flowers from the yard.

Seeing Frankie interact with Oso is so beyond adorable! My family adopted a Lab puppy when I was about a year old and she and I literally were puppies together and as thick as thieves (and got into equally as much "trouble" in our toddler years lol). It broke my heart when she passed away when I was in 8th Grade. So happy that Frankie and Oso have many happy memories in the making!

Tip for pooper scooping. Bury a medium sized trash bin( drill holes bottom and sides for decomposing material)1. layer 2in leaves on bottom, 1 piece cardboard cut to fit. Wet Then add Oso daily contributions,

Love the multi generational family house. My Dad is almost 101. I wish we/I would have incorporated him into our/ my housing plan years ago. Beneficial in so many ways. You guys did a beautiful job in your back yard. I love it!! What makes a professional? When my grandparents were alive and well, they used to move into really run down homes, and then flip them for a living. They owned a home as well in Florida when they lived in Illinois, while my Aunt, Uncle, and my two first cousins lived there and paid rent to them. After they all moved out, my mom & step-dad bought that house from my grandparents and and my grandparents also lived in a home next door which they flipped and sold for more $ as well. Lol They knew their stuff! After that, They moved into, and bought a home in Kissimmee Florida that had a bate & tackle shop (for Bass fishing). Frankie’s little bow mouth is the most adorable thing ever!! Y’all are right that projects always start small and get bigger as you go. So glad you guys are in a space you can share with us again. He has a dementia of sorts and he always loves to see me. I wish I could care for him, but that would be a “too big job” really quickly. So we enjoy those visits to the fullest! Your backyard is looking great.The only thing it’s missing is a baby swing.You are so brave doing cold plunges.My brother does them too and made his plunge pool himself.I can’t even shower with cold water but I have heard there are a lot of health benefits to it.Hope you’re all doing well. So good to see your family coming together to support each other. Truly inspiring for a guy whos grown kids and 92 year old mother lives with him. Other than yelling at my son to pick up the poop and my daughter buying plastic trees for the yard that is the limit of my ambition. By now you will probably have noticed the yellow patches in the turf - that's Oso. Boy dogs have very acidic pee and they will wreck your perfect grass - so live with it or train him to pee on territory boundaries around the yard. Good luck with that. Love ya'll. Bob! Watching Bec's transformation through and from cancer to motherhood and her everlasting enthusiasm for life really helps. I was diagnosed with cancer about the same time and without ever meeting I feel as though our cancer journeys and super positive outlooks have done for us what some never see. Here's to positivity. The next time I am in Toronto, I would love to meet these people. Bellwoods Brewery is calling, Ossington location is still the OG.

Frankie is so cute. Who else has blue eyes in the family that she might have gotten them from? Yard is going to be great fun for all of you. Nothing worse than sitting in a backyard with long grass full of weeds, so depressing. This will be awesome to go sit with the baby, have your morning coffee, etc. Way to go guys!
