Three years ago Eamon and I started Chaiwala from a basement apartment. After a year of transporting goods up and down stairs and piling boxes to the ceiling, Eamon snuck out of the house to look at office spaces. While the budget-queen in me wasn't impressed I knew we needed to have our own space if we were ever going to grow so HERE WE ARE! We really hope you enjoy this tour of our office located in Toronto, Ontario.

I was just in Toronto this past Jan 2, my Birthday, and we blew a tire on the 401, never a good Birthday sign . Good video. I am a general manager of a company and run my own personal company as well and want to recommend you get a paper tape machine. Not because its paper (and not plastic) but it saves so much time and works sooooo much better than plastic. Don't waste the money on one with an electric heater. The tape is also less expensive than plastic tape, depending on the quality of plastic tape you use. It also lets you clean up the used boxes, making them look more professional. Just a recommendation.

it would be an easy way to double the space, for the same rent! a mezzanine for storage, prep area on the main floor!

You can't receive a half dozen pallets from a delivery on the ceiling. Sometimes there's no replavement for floor square footage!

I am sitting here eating pistachios with a glass of wine (my favorite meal) and listening to your podcast which I am loving!!!!! Your stories are so interesting and fun! You guys should check out mezzanine's, you look like you have the ceiling height for one. If you built one over half your space you would gain 500 sq ft of space at no extra rent cost. Great vid by the way

You guys could easily hang suspended shelving from the ceiling and the angle iron / i-beam supports for all kinds of stuff. it is quick and simple to do and if you drop it down far enough -- your safety issues would be averted pretty much too. Hi from UK I love decaffeinated drinks but I suppose it would cost an arm and a leg to send it here, it would also probably be a problem as they would maybe need to open it to check it was nothing untoward. Maybe I could make my own, I don't much care for cinnamon any way. Your office/factory looks well organized and clean, it looks a fairly high ceiling as well, couldn't you put in a mezzanine floor, that would double your floor space and possibly cheaper than moving to somewhere bigger, you could then create separate areas You could create a manual lift in so it was easy to use the mezzanine for storage
