Dublin has changed so much since 1979 i dont remember many homeless back then young people could afford their to buy their first home the hospitals could cope ok we had other problems still its great to watch these old shows as Eamonn was the best storyteller on the box

My Grandad lived, grew up on the Ross Road throughout the 1940s and 50s with his brothers and sisters. His mother, Mary Ellen was neighbours with the Daltons (Moggy Dalton) and the Carricks. Fascinating.

the view of patricks cathedral is just deadly buzz. Hasn't really changed that much. When I watch these programmes of Dublin, always with beautiful sunshine, I ask myself; "was Ireland warmer in the 70's and 80's?
