This is a follow-up to this one: • Solfege Ear Training (...
Everything's basically the same except for the answers are mixed up. Same key (C Major), same tempo.
The idea is that you may begin to memorize the answers if you do this everyday and then it's not much of a quiz. Go back and forth between the two of these (and I may add more ...) so you don't find yourself knowing what's coming next before it comes.
Why the same key again? Well I've been experimenting with "Fixed Key" ear training (trying to stick to one key as much as possible) and it makes a lot of sense to me... I imagine there's others out there doing the same thing and this could be of use to them. C Major / A Minor is kind of the default and it seems the way to go, right?
That said; I'll be putting stuff up in other keys too.
If you're curious to learn more about the fixed key idea check out this video (not mine) • How to Play Music by E...

@ChocolateChipsMusic, Thank you for this video, it's very helpful. Learning music theory a bit later than most at age 20, but really enjoying it, and this video has been very helpful. I take a piece of paper and put a tick for every one I get right, and an x for every one I get wrong. After many, many views (I may be 100 out of the total 900 hahah!) I have finally gone a full video with no errors, and I having been alternating between the two to make sure I dont memorize the pattern! Anyways, thank you very much for this video again. Much love my friend! Sorry if my english is bad, not my mother tongue! You've got yourself a new subscriber!

Thank you for the videos, they're really helpful. If you have time, can you do some with all the chromatic notes included? And maybe more of the melodic ear training. Thanks!

Hi, could you do an instrumental recognition test video? I'm doing my GCSEs next year and I'm having trouble with that. It would really help. Your melodic interval videos are really helping me btw thx.

The ti has a strong dissonance almost like a minor 2nd but you should be able to tell these two apart since they are pretty far away from each other that is how I always remember so the Major 7th usually is the easiest of the bunch and my ear is not that good so if it works with me it should for you as well you can also use bits and pieces of songs or melodies or chords like the Mi and the Sol in my opinion the sol comes easier but both of those intervals make up a major chord so that might help some when listening

What the hell is a doe to doe octave? And why are some notes mysterious?
@miaangelllll
@miaangelllll 2 ай бұрын
CDEFGABC- this is an octave (8). It starts on a certain note and ends with the same note. When you’re playing a scale, you’re playing a series of 8 notes.
