Hi doctor , I recently had ear tubes inserted in both ears . In addition I had balloon dilation of the Eustachian tube completed concurrently . My right ear become blocked from covid and was showing no spike on a tympanometry. The left ear was fine for weeks but eventually became retracted with a slight spike on the tympanometry . When I swallow at times there is a loud audible pop , this happens more frequently in my left ear . It settles done at times and changes throughout the day . Is this due to having a hole in my eardrum allowing air to directly pass though ? When my grommets fall out will I notice less of a pop sound ? At the moment it can be quite loud . Thanks Jake from Australia

I am taking my 22 year old son to an ENT next week on the 30th. He has an over abundance of ear wax. He purchased a camera to clean his ears. While I was gently looking and cleaning I uncovered the tubes(bright green) in both ears. We are having them removed on the 30 th and cleaned. Have you ever seen tubes stay in that long. He got them put in when he was 6 years old. What causes someone to make that much ear wax?
