Rival Sons changed my life with this song. they opened for Black Sabbath in Denver at the Pepsi center I was 7th row and in amazement the whole set. one of my favorite bands now. thanks Ozzy for introducing me to these guys.

I saw Motley Crue and Metallica both open for Ozzy back in the 80's. That dude apparently has not lost his edge for having shockingly rad bands open up for him.

Saw that tour in Minneapolis. I was excited to both Rival Sons and it was my 1st time seeing Black Sabbath.

I probably wouldn’t have ever known about this band if I wouldn’t have went to see Black Sabbath in Omaha, first concert of that tour. This guy’s vocals are amazingly outstanding! Now I can recognize every time their music is played just by the opening vocals of this dude! Was a magical experience for me to witness them … ❤

I can not hear this song without weeping uncontrollably. It hits home in a way few tunes have ever managed to do. It is an unspoken truth between my wife and I that our paths once took us to very dark places neither of us will ever return to. Hats off to rival sons. You knocked this one out of the park....

I never liked talking about anything until I met this man that walked into my life May 29, 2014, Thanks to my woman. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't of came outta so many fears bc of him. He introduced this song to me & He never knew where I been until this day. he knows so much and helped me so much. I thank him and the creator everyday for blessing me with the most bestfriend ever. We had our ups and downs but every friendship does. Love This Song. It so goes to me. :)

“How can you love me when you know where I’ve been?” Because where you’ve been is not where you are, nor is it truly who you are. You are better than that. You are more than that. We gotta love like Jesus, because it’s that kind of love that allows us to look beyond where someone has been and see them for the beautiful creation they truly are. And it’s that kind of love that can wipe away the past like none of it ever happened so it won’t be held against you/us. That’s how we can love people when we know where they’ve been. Peace.

Jordan Pt. 2 much?
@live49810 жыл бұрын
Nah, I mean it sounds the same, but they're about two different things. Jordan was written for one of Jay's(the singer if you didn't know already but you probably did)close friend's mother passing. Where I've Been is about(I'm guessing about this one from the lyrics)feeling the guilt of the past when good things happen to you(no reference intended hehe.) Both great songs, both strike different strings in the heart (no song reference intended there either haha) and are both masterpieces.
@felixfacius299810 жыл бұрын
yeah of course, im a huge fan, and im a huge fan of the song as well, but the similarity is just undeniable

Ben H They are in different key and even the pacing is very different, the only thing that they have in common is that it is very emotional, and melancholic. Even Jordan has a sense of hope while Where I've been doesn't.
