I’ve accepted the fact that my ex husband has moved on, at least he thinks he’s moved on by hooking up with someone else, but I wish him well. I initiated the divorce, but I still love and care for him. I am trusting the process regarding being single after 14 years of marriage. I’m learning new things about me and my new enlightenment. He said that Earl won't go to marriage counselling. It does take two. It is hard for a marriage to last when you are not on the same page. i.e. one in debt and the other debt-free. I agree. Grown people need to take care of themselves. Grown friends too. A good rule of thumb is when they call and leave a message of urgency, wait five days and call them back. They either don't answer or the issue has been resolved. Believe me, this works!! They usually don't call again. Definitely, don't loan them money unless it is a very close friend or family member who have always been responsible and some emergency occurred and they need help and WILL pay you back!

I had to stop because you are describing a similar situation that occurred when I was living in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1976, and was attending a pool party at the Courtleigh Manor onTrafalgar Road in “New Kingston”. I was totally 💯 stunned when my friend came and told me that I was the center of everybody’s vitriol! I had no idea that those people even knew who I was! After a little investigation, I found out that those people were hating on me because I who I was dating - Gene, tall, blonde, athletic, rugby footballer, and just unassuming my gorgeous. That’s what as so very nice about him; he was about everything except his gorgeous looks, including most assuredly eternal world peace. His kindness knew no bounds. When he invited me to be his date to the party, I said yes because our spirits melded around our ideals about world peace. Ultimately, we left the Courtleigh because the hate and vitriol were too unbearable for me. When Gene realized how upset I was, he just decided to drive around the island starting east from Kingston. Our tour went completely around the entire island and lasted about 4 days. I will NEVER, EVER forget such kindness, such magnanimous sweetness and light. And I share the same here with you now! Sweetness and light glows into eternity and you too will be blessed by it! ITNOJ Amen 🙏. MOJ
