Thank you Walter for being a quality man with morals. As a married woman I have issues with anyone starting a relationship with a married man or woman. I think even less of the married individual because they are committed. I would be devastated if my husband is with a man. I would feel our whole relationship was a lie. My daughter a few years ago before she moved to NC, she had chosen Atlanta as her new home. But she did one more visit there with friends and she looked at the " other" side of Atlanta. She called me while she was there and she told said "naw!" I won't be living to Atlanta!" I laughed so hard! Hey there Walter, thanks for talking about this. I live in a small-ish town in Northern California and of course it makes the Black community of this town even smaller. Ive throughout my several decades had guy gay friends Ive hung out with, shopped and traveled with. The stories they've told me in confidence about supposedly straight family men who cruise out gay men and the little secret down low brothers and Im thankful for it. Straight folks out here at least need a heads up. You should be given a choice as to whether you as the straight person want to stay in these relationships. And yes, some women knew and stayed, but most would be blindsided if the secret came to light.

Yes, that's what I thought. Finalize things with Earl. Move on, THEN start dating. Like you said, "Close one chapter of your life, then move on.' The divorce process is naturally painful. So get over THAT pain FIRST. Then date. The upside is that there are no children involved, so there are no 'little ones' to feel the fall out. Earl has his doctorate (which is always better achieved with the support of a loving partner and family.), so he should be ok ( perhaps).
