I respect earl spencer for saying the issue of the BBCs actions are separate from the question of whether the diana interview should have happened. I think he’s still on the right side of that issue.

Interesting. I've watched "The Crown" a few times from the beginning, and thought that Princess Diana came across as very sincere, and that she was at the mercy of the Firm, with no support to speak of from any of them (maybe Prince Phillip at the beginning). Much respect for Earl Spencer.

Why dig-up that Panorama programme once again after all these years. The dust had settled long ago. . As I see it the Establishment was closing every loop-hole in anticipation of a new reign. The Queen had been in failing health for years. The approaching Coronation was bound to unleash a deluge of memories, and judgments. Some very damaging to the new Crown ( I am a monarchist, by the way.). No one could dispute Diana’s honesty and no-one would. So a villain was needed, somebody to blame for the awkwardness and the damage -to take the heat off the Royals. All kinds of lies were floated. One after another. Yet the truth was that Diana had not been approached by the Beeb: she had approached them herself - the Panorama slot was her own private choice. The second savlo was that she was taken advantage of because she was seriously mentally ill ( paranoid) - a wicked thing to say,. The aim of this was two-fold 1) to clear the new King of any blame in the matter of her misery, 2) to assist the latest political moves to discredit and privatise the BBC. Yet the “crimes “ of interviewer Martin Bashir had nothing to do with the finished film - it was simply that he lied outrageously in order to get the gig and beat his rivals on the team. The public has had no difficulty in believing Diana. Which doesn’t mean to say that they wouldn’t accept the new King. We knew that he was as much a victim of that cold-blooded marriage-fix as she was. We know too we can’t change the past. Charles had found peace in his second marriage, people accepted that. All the rest was over-reaction and last minute nerves. Doing justice to no-one. I had thought that Lord Spencer was too intelligent to drawn into this game. ( highly thought of, he was a real capture for the anti-BBC brigade). I thought it at best unnecessary, and rather disloyal to his deceased sister as the new reign approached. I hope I’m wrong. Like millions of others I had admired his chivalry and his raw courage that day in the Abbey.

Yes a diverse gene pool is health, but because there are, alas both intelligence and dimness in both the Windsor line and the Spencer line we see Windsors who who were quite intelligent and those who were definitely a bit dim. .. i think William got some of the best Windsor and best Spencer traits. Harry , alas seem to have inheriited some of the worst tendencies of both sides. For example both Dian's father and her paternal grandfather were known for raging emotions and over the top storminess and loss of control.......

The children are only photos and Rebecca Cord and August Eugenie's son and Stassi Schroeder's child Hartford and Rebecca Cord are the children who pretend to be Artchie and Lily They have their own family. And borrowed children was also used just for photos All the photos are on Google
