Just a dog gone minute here. I have to catch my breath and get my head to cease spinning round and round like a Ratt song. Your drumming on this one totally blows me away, and like Metzilla mentioned, it had to have taken longer than an hour, unless you just went off on your own. This one is in a category all by itself.🤩❤️🙏👏❤️🙏👏❤️🤩

@@gregwonhoff7161 thanks for noticing Greg! I’m working on songs that really challenge my playing more to come! This is a favorite album to listen to, but the drumming is quite difficult. But I’m working on some more of this album! Plus I dig the new cymbal!

Beautiful song and cover, Earl! Many of your selections I never heard before, but the curiosity of your selection sends me to google. First recorded with vocals on July 6, 1974, Flora Purim sang this song. Modern Jazz. Cool as the change in weather. 😂

@@jametz66 thanks for the feedback Jeff. No this one took two sessions. But about 1.5 hours of drumming total. I’m still not completely happy, but I think sometimes you have show the process. I have been digging the Zildjians for this material!

Nice cover. And you have the chops for it. Nice to see you still giving the acrolite some love. I saw the next incarnation of Return to Forever live in the 'later 70s, with Lenny White and Al di meola. Romantic Warrior era.

People do not know how much goes into pulling off these longer jazz covers. Some tunes i have taken lots and lots of time to get right and to get 63 views is a blow. You did well with 400 plus already. You've inspired me. I think K am going to try Captain Marvel. It's a B! Flat ride is perfect.

You are not kidding … this was two different session of working at it to get this attempt! It’s a hard song, but I have to play drums for me these days even if the masses want Taylor Swift! I’m not interested in that playing some music! That cymbal does sound nice … Timothy Roberts took my clunker flat ride and made it sound good! B flat hey … I didn’t even think about the note! 😊👍🏻🙏🏻🥁thanks for watching Jim!
