I see other KZbinrs had broken parts on the first run of these Traxxas ultimate rc cars ( xrt and xmaxx. They say the Traxxas ultimate rc cars are stronger without all those aluminum parts. Oooh yeah, congrats on the 20k mark. Just brilliant man, just brilliant.

@cornek6095 out of 10 years I’ve only broke 2 sets of stock steering links and they where really bad crashes.Over time they do get a slight bend but who cares bashing it just bend it back 🤷🏻‍♂️😎

Very much appreciated. Something I can't figure out. I took out a loan to get the Outcast 8 S EXB RTR , was a grand. Basically the same as a normal RTR. The new Kraton 6 S EXB is 150 more than the normal 6 S. The new X Max is 500 more. Seems like the best deal is with the 8 S EXB RTR Outcast. I've ran her about 20 times now with absolutely nothing broken. The pinion gear grub screw loosened up , no problem , the pillar ball screw loosened up , no problem. Question is , wonder why they're charging alot more for stock outta the box upgrades for the others but not the Outcast ??? Absolutely the best bang for the buck. Thank you for everything you do. Learning ALOT. Seems like the edited footage from the manufacturers are composite to keep from showing anything possibly negative. Thank you , many thanks to Hobby Town in Bowling Green KY. It's about a hour away from me due North. Much appreciate you.

The upgrade on the xmaxx ultimate are half price 1 k in upgrades you can buy for your xmaxx now and there installed so traxxas isn’t saying you need a need version xmaxx there offering for a limited time one that has everything installed already 👍

I stopped by my LHS to do some repairs to my XRT that I purchased in August. I took a look at the Ultimate and was very impressed as it was a really nice looking rig. I decided to purchase the regular one and get the new belted tires and a clear body to customize myself. I appreciate videos that arent ALWAYS negative or biased. It amazes me the amount of ineeded comments or unnecessary energy from people😅 We all dont drive Fords ya know. If its not your thing, its perfectly OKAY. Geeeesh its tiring in this hobby to read such rubbish on a constant. Buy, build, run, bash and crash what WORKS FOR YOU! and allow others to do the same. Its called the key to life. Aside from this, great video and content. Thank you.

Congratulations on the Ultimate Xmaxx very very cool, love the clip on the motor shaft to secure pinion....I did an Ultimate Xmaxx and XRT couple months back, its crazy how the parts are not available in some areas but are in others...im on the east coast and i purchased everything including motor mounts for both probably 2 months back, i will find my receipts....great video Earl 💯

I’m disappointed on the speed spur now I need to buy a harder one anyway normally I can run the monkey metal one for a few month while I get one coming so now it will be super slow till I get a gear 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@earlmoorhead5555 Yeah that's the weird part on all these ultimates, They never address the center drive gears. Either it's plastic on the Slash and Rustler or is the pot metal on the XMaxx and XRT. You would think that would be a cheap part to swap in too.

I messed up my cush drive because of not having no gear mesh on my XRT when I got it used it 1 time took the gear cover off because it was making a horrible noise and the pinion was jammed on the motor wouldn't come off. So I changed just the spur. And the meshing was literally perfect. now I upgraded the whole thing and got a hobbywing set up in it.​@earlmoorhead5555

The gears not being round is a big issue. They shouldn’t release the product knowing the gears aren’t right. Other than that though it’s a cool machine. Looking forward to the comparison runs

Cool video Earl big fan of your channel since your 5T, I'm now really looking into one of these Ultimate X-Maxx's but i'm worried that they won't be available when i'm ready to buy it since it would take over a year to save up. So i'm really hoping Traxxas will come out with one that is a model they will have for a long time otherwise i'll just either build up my X-Maxx or buy a new standard rock n roll one and build that up.

@@earlmoorhead5555 I know the parts are already available at Traxxas' webstore. and i have already decided to build my own Ultimate X-Maxx and it will be similar to the new X-Maxx Ultimate but not have as much aluminum hop ups. I will be putting the new 2085R servo in mine as well as a MMX8s ESC in my truck since they don't sell the sensorless Max 6 anymore and i want to keep the stock in service until it dies.

Idk about $1600 RC. I really wish they would sell the Xmaxx as a roller but even then would the price be reasonable, prob not. I had just gotten close to the point where I might have spent $1000 on the regular Xmaxx. Now I'm just kinda over it. RC has gotten crazy expensive since the 🦠 and everyone got into it with their Biden bucks & stimulus money. The economy just isn't what it used to be. Probably just stick with the rigs I have and upgrade them as needed. Thanks for all the great videos this year.

Congrats on the 20K subs 🤘🏼As far as is the ultimate worth the $1,500 yes and no. In my opinion there’s not a single RC from any manufacturer that’s worth what they’re charging these days but unfortunately this is the world of overpriced products now so with that being said yes it’s worth the $1,500 with all the upgrades. You’d spend well over $500 to put all those parts on it. I’m still debating on pulling the trigger on an ultimate Xmaxx or XRT but the more vids I watch the more I want one and that blue is awesome definitely the color I want

I feel the big problem will be, when ppl want them later they won’t be for sale the XRT as of yesterday traxxas was calling store to locate some for customers as each store only gets 2 of each model the XRT will definitely be gone first 😳

I'm curious, did they extend and put the inter support on the 7786X Cush-Drive Input Shaft?? When you were wiggling it and getting tight I could only assume they did not solve that issue. Thanks Have Fun.

Three years ago I noticed there something with the Cushdrive not turning true? Idk what part as I’ve changed everything thinking I bent the shaft but nothing solved it, what I did was open up the mesh so no binding heated up the motor and gears, but it did eventually strip the steel spur🤷🏻‍♂️ I think it’s something with the plastic molded part that Traxxas been putting out 🤷🏻‍♂️

Idk it looks black and I believe the stock one is chrome looking but I know I tried the harden shaft and no difference seems it’s the Cushdrive plastics

I have a standard V3 Xmaxx and ig it has the 54 tooth spur do you think it would overheat if I dropped in a hot racing 50 tooth steel gear?

If all the fans are working I show the 18/46 speed gears that come with the rc will run fine as long as you’re bashing and not just full trigger on loose dirt for 15 minutes straight and with a 20/50 gearing you’ll have the same situation but the 18/50 it won’t overheat at all just make sure all fans are working and not missing blades 👍bash on 💪

I hope you enjoy your ultimate. I already have an ultimate Xmaxx that I made myself with the extra power and very little upgrades. Hehe. I hope those belted Slede hammer tires don't rip so easily like the stock Xmaxx tires. Even when I vented them, the they still ripped 😢

Right on Earl 👍 Lets see what the Ultimate has to offer. For the price of this rc it better be good. Out of round spur is definitly a nuisance is it possible to take it off and remount it? Or turn the spur one positon on its mount piece and see if its centered better? I'd get it sorted before running.

I’ve tried fixing this issue with my orange xmaxx years ago even buying a new cushion drive shaft gears pinion motor nothing seems to solve it I believe the Cushdrive has a problem with the mold now and it’s getting worse 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can't say 1500 reason is arrma outcast and kraton have awesome parts ,1,000 ,so no ,but if they had upgraded their electronics, heck ya but, I feel that Traxxas is how to make a they have been charging people numerous dollars after you buy the thousand-dollar truck to make you believe it's okay now because you got a 1500 truck they should have fixed those issues years ago like I said they've been in the business too long it's smart on their end earl , thanks for your rundown on the truck ,1,200 should be the most pricey should be, Traxxas can turn up just have listen to feed back,not years later,one comment u said is the c clamp on motor mount ,truck was out for almost 10 years they finally put that on,Rc guy garage prove that to be an issue the orther day on his video,and you have as well in the past,goes do they listen ,thanks earl have blessed day.

All these companies, and their propetary parts. Apple is famous for this as well. Is not just Traxxas. Apple was recently forced by the EU. To change their coonector and chargers for their iPhone. To tge more standard Type C connector. Traxxas may eventually be forced to change those horrible connectors. Probably not the US. But, maybe the EU as well.

The Traxxas Sludge proved how jaded Traxxas is with pricing and the trend is continuing. All RC’s are overpriced nowadays. Even the REAL automotive market is adjusting back to less inflated prices but the RC hobby is headed to higher prices. I’m watching to see where Lipo pricing heads to before deciding if I stay in this hobby.

Ya I’m gonna pass. I love my stock xmaxx. I think it’s better that way. Idk. I just put on the big chassis vitavon brace. That’s it. When my xmaxx arrived the rear left shock was blown….shock oil all over the inside of the box. Traxxas sent me out a rebuild kit.

Three years now I’ve been noticing this gear issue as I voice over at the end asking why Traxxas always has music in there videos are they hiding gear noise ? Idk just strange can’t get a video without music,, I’ve been noticing this problem on the last 4xmaxx purchases I’ve done and haven’t found out why just that the Cushdrive system is not truly round ? So is it a machinery issue a molding issue I have no clue it doesn’t cause any problems just sounds like crap

@@RcPlayer-tt2vw Arrma has their Kraton EXB roller version, all the chassis options, just add your own: Motor, ESC, Steering Servo & Radio. If Traxxas did the same with the Xmaxx Ultimate, I’d be really interested. I’d prefer, to choose my own over rtr. Also the Xmaxx will be cheaper as a roller, I already have motors & ESC’s to go.

I think it's a cool looking rc. They, in my opinion, have just added bling to cover up some major issues. Again, this is just my opinion. After throwing my 401k plan into m2c hotracing and hobbywing to make my x maxx take abuse, I still believe there are major issues left out on the platform. I'd be interested to see if the crunch drive or the center drive shaft has been changed. It's still a killer looking rc, and nothing drives like a x maxx.
